The Flood/Buggers Were Better Than Promethans

and that’s a bad thing, considering the Buggers and Flood were annoying.

Anyone else think 343 completely dropped the ball with the Promethean? They were not fun to fight/play against. They had a specific order, not even just a strategy, but an order to kill them. Kill Crawlers first, to avoid the awful rushing and not be attacked while working on the Watcher/Knight. Then the Watcher, and 343 even made this clear in the E3 showing. I never once saw them throw back grenades, but every other thing they do made it so YOU HAVE to kill them first. They heal the Promethean, shielded them, etc it has to die first. Then finally pump bullets upon bullets into the Knight as it teleports and runs away like the annoying -Yoink- it is.

They felt half hearted and really the only good encounter with them was the first one, where all their tricks are still new, after that first one they became repetitive bores.

Oh and swarms of Drones/Buggers/Swarms of Crawlers. They weren’t hard. Crawlers were just easy/lame nuisance. At least the Buggers were some sort of challenge.

Personally I would disagree with you. I thought they worked pretty dynamically and were a cause of much frustration on Legendary. That last series of fights on Midnight was just about unbearable.

I like them, they provide a “challenge” to single player.

Do explain how this differs from the Flood? The Flood had little to no tricks other than rush, leap, and shoot in Halo 3.
