I’m playing Halo 3 odst and my god does the flame thrower kick -Yoink-. Does anyone else think it’d be cool if they added it to Halo 5. After all they did bring back the rocket pod. And they could nerf it and tweak it so that it would be balanced.

should we bring back the one from CE which was a weapon you can carry and can find ammo for it.

im not really sure. i think it should be like the other turret weapons and just have one magazine or clip or whatever of ammo. just so people dont run around with it the entire match and kill everyone with it. but maybe that could work.
I would love to at least see if it would work adding it to Halo 5. Not sure if we need it but would be fun.

The flamethrower would be a great addition to the game

but i doubt it would see a lot of use, since its range is about the same as a shotgun, and the damage would be over time. I have considerable doubts it will work. it mght work for battlefield 1 but that isnt exactly halo 
I do agree with the assessment of bringing back the flamethrower, It was a force to be reckoned with back in halo 3, but I doubt 343i will put it in due to lack of requests from the populace.

i would love to see it return but as a handheld weapon(not turret) with a trap setting usage(ex not trying to snipe with it, but walk around a corner and setting the floor on fire to kill the enemy).

Ha! The flamethrower is definitely a good idea for that.

Seriously, it would be fun as a hand-held, but I would also like to see tanks on peoples backs so that you can shoot and ignite them creating a Spartan Torch! Boom!
I’m not sure how it would work with the lack of range and the dot affect it has. Would be super cool to try tho. Also, would it have any affect on a solider when he teleports? The more I think about it the more I doubt we will see it return.
