The flamethrower was an amazingly awesome and epic weapon. It took little skill, well sorta, and was just fun to use.
Even if it is just in the campaign for one section of a level, i would love for this weapon to return. Does anyone agree?

I think turret weapons in general should make a comeback IMAO. Halo 3 had some pretty kewl mounted weapons including the Flamethrower but they got seriously neglected and nerfed in Reach and 4. Let’s bring them all back or, barring that, bring some new ones in.
I remember Construct on Halo 3. The sheer amount of laughter I let out after seeing someone get toasted or getting lit on fire myself. I think I have issues but for me it was a pretty hilarious occasion.
If the Flood are in the next title, I reckon it should return. I forgot the mission where it was used in 3, Floodgate was it? It was sure fun using it in that level. And Cortana.

On this map people would fight over the flamethrower, just to burn people. even of they got one kill with it, it seemed to be worth it. I loved that map and i miss the flamethrower
If they do bring back the Flamethrower, I hope they make it more practical because if you’re playing against anyone who is halfway skilled, picking the darn thing up is almost suicide unless you’re in an enclosed area and the opponent doesn’t know you have it.

YEEEEEEEEEEES! When Halo 4 was pre-release I was asking if the flamethrower was in H4, unfortunately not, but the flamethrower was the most fun weapon ever, if we were against a lesser skilled team, or if I just felt like messing around, I’d grab it and fire people up as they go up the lift.

That’s the point, going up against a better player and flaming their dead body up and preparing for them to come back for revenge.
I miss the Flamethrower. What was that map it was on, Construct? anyway just lighting up that lift drop off room…
i hope they bring it back how it was in halo ce for the pc instead as a turrent like halo 3.
It was a useless weapon in my opinion. It was a good area denial weapon, but there are other, more versatile weapons/gadgets that can fulfill this role.
In short, I couldn’t care less if it comes back or not.

In a way it’s like an assassination, it just adds insult to injury.

Before the TU, the DMR was very “versatile”… Doesn’t mean that its the best thing for gameplay purposes
I want the ODST Flamethrower back. That thing was amazing

Doesn’t change the fact that the flamethrower was pretty useless. I much prefer incendiary grenades.

I think you mean the Halo 3-era Flamethrower in general (as far as I know, there was no difference between how it looked/worked in Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST).

Why not both? The Flamethrower allowed for more fire, while the Incendiary Grenades allowed for more control and distance.

Besides the fact that an ODST could carry it faster.
I want it. Period.
Do you think this could be a useful way for the Flamethrower to be reintroduced in Halo (including multiplayer)?

It’s not meant to be a major power weapon, it just adds variety in a good way. It’s probab;y less effective then a turret, but it still is so fun to use.
Playing Construct in Halo 3 and burning people on the lift was so much fun, and in the campaign burning the flood was fun too.
I want the Halo CE Flamethrower back.
I feel like it wouldn’t be as much as an “area of denial” due to it not having the slowdown in movement and it actually functioning as a legit weapon.

I said I couldn’t care less if the flamethrower returned. I just know I won’t use it, unless it’s improved.
