The Fixes That Could Save Halo 4 Wargames

It’s no secret that Halo 4 wargames is dying and there are several reasons for this. One of which is the huge lack of updates that could have saved it early on. While there is a weapons update on June 3rd this could be too little too late as 75% have already left.

I believe that there are several fixes that could save wargames, however I am not like the previous thread writers who, lets be honest, just want a halo 4 that is just a Halo 3 or Reach with better graphics. I believe 343 made a good effort in creating Halo 4, introducing interesting new game developments to Halo such as assassinations and being able to customize your own spartan.

The idea of having ordinances and personal classes is not the worst idea as I’m sure 343 had the best intentions when creating them, perhaps trying to appeal to the COD market. It didn’t work. Instead it caused huge losses. I believe it did this as there is nothing more frustrating than dying via incineration cannon or rail gun every 2 minutes throughout the game. While it caused losses it isn’t something that can’t be tweaked for good as it is a 343 product and we all have to face it a factor of Halo 4 and they can’t get rid of such a huge factor.

So here’s the list.

  1. Introduce a classic game type, just a game type not a whole game changer that gets rid of ordinances and personal classes.

  2. Make the weapon drops less frequent as for example in team doubles it is not fun at all to have an opponent team who runs for a rocket launcher and as soon as they run out just have to run back to get more ammo and die constantly in frustration.

  3. It could be a good idea to give the custom community what they want, infection, race and fixes. They represent a huge part of the Halo community and I believe it would be a mistake to ignore them.

  4. A big step but it could work, make the DLC’s free, let’s face it nobody is buying them and I’d prefer see them come up on the voting list than to have wasted my 2000 Microsoft points. (My Friends agree).

  5. This one’s for us the community, Stop demanding a lynching of 343 for “Ruining Halo”. Creating bad relations will not fix anything trust me. (BA in International Relations.) We should thank them for bringing back a franchise that might not have ever risen again if it wasn’t for them. The campaign and spartan ops were a great addition as was Forward Unto Dawn and now there is development of a Halo television series so be thankful.

Please feel free to add any other suggestions to how it could be saved, because I personally don’t want to have to give up on Halo 4 while waiting for Halo 5 and hoping it’s a lot better. 343 can learn a lot from the Halo community if they offer useful help and not demand changes.

This is a controversial point I actually agree with. I would say it’s better to draw the crowds back in than to have the points/money I spent on them go to waste. Perhaps not free (as that would upset 343 and some of the community who have already bought it) but certainly a heavily reduced price.

good idea OP!

So you want me to thank 343 for almost ruined Halo? Well i still have hope for the next Halo game, and hope to see some presentation on E3 about a new Halo game. Untill then i will not thank them for this crap of game.
