The first main Halo game without Halo?

I couldn’t put all things in the title, so let me repeat.

Would Halo 4 be the first Halo game withing the main storyline to feature no Halo construct?
I exclude ODST and War as they are kinda side story. Reach showed how PoA got to Halo 04. So we still see Halo there.
In Halo 2, we got to see Delta Halo.
In Halo 3, we got see Halo 04 being rebuilt in Ark, so we used it to end Flood threat.
It seems like Halo 4 will take place mostly in Requiem.
Do you think this game will live up to the super weapon that has been in the main games?

we might see the greater Ark and it’s Halos.

possibly.

We’ll see.

The Forerunners built more amazing things than Halos you know. There is no need for Halos every game as ODST, Wars and Reach showed.

Considering the main menu at E3 build had a Halo ring in the background, I’d say we’d have contact with another.

> The Forerunners built more amazing things than Halos you know. There is no need for Halos every game as ODST, Wars and Reach showed.

Amen!

On a personal note, I would like to see the Halos disappear until at least Halo 6. They shouldn’t play as big a role in the Reclaimer Trilogy.

> Considering the main menu at E3 build had a Halo ring in the background, I’d say we’d have contact with another.

But considering there only being 8 missions in the game, it would most likely make a brief appearance. Like Cybertron coming to Earth in TF3.

Such as? You mean the two Arks? which produce more Halos? Beside those two? Even then it is pointless as Arks and Halos are directly related.

Shield Worlds are pretty impressive structures themselves, and who knows, we’ve only scratched the surface on what we know about the Forerunners. They may have even grander structures somewhere out there.

How about a series of installations that can shoot down ships out of slipspace? How about the many variety of shield world? How about artificial stars?

heres a halo

There are still 5 Halo rings they have never really told us about~

I’m sure there will be a Halo in Halo 4. Halo just isn’t Halo without them! Every Halo game that hasn’t featured a Halo honestly hasn’t been as good as a Halo game with a Halo. I love Halo.

I would bet $5 there is a Halo ring in Halo 4.

I think I missed the first one. Where did that come from?
Shield world? You mean one like in Onyx? Well. I am not that convinced.
Yeah artificial stars. I see. Yeah we are going to see that in Requiem. (Also in multiplayer map iirc)
Still, wiping out all lives in the galaxy seems more impressive than those. But still kinda apple and orange.

I am not saying Halo 4 should feature Halo.
And there is Kilofive trilogy. Halsey is on Halo 03. I am curious how that will tie to main game.

This post needs MOAR Halo!

On topic: What about the mysterious as yet undiscovered installation 7? Might make an appearance since they discussed it in Primordium. And 343 knew primordium would be coming out relatively close to Halo 4 so maybe they were dropping some hints.

Line Installation 1-4 was seen in the Halo comic Blood Line. It had the ability to take out an entire Covenant fleet from slipspace and strand it on a barren asteroid.

Onyx is not the only kind of shield world. We have shield worlds that are metal shells that are hollow and the landforms built inside, micro dyson sphere and Requiem is an entire planet inside a shield world.

Please, a Halo is a weapon of last resort and can’t just be fired willy-nilly. With a strategic series of Line Installations, you can destroy entire enemy ships in the flip of a switch without the need to kill everything in the galaxy.

I believe a Halo will play some pivotal role in the game’s plot. As others have pointed out, there’s apparently one orbiting what appears to be Requiem in the game’s main menu. If we don’t actually get to explore or travel to it, it’ll still likely be present in the game’s story, backstory, and terminals.

Halo: Reach did technically feature a Halo installation. Only in its multiplayer though, as the highly renowned map Forge World.

Last resort means more impressive. don’t you think? Well impressive in what term is also subjective i guess.

And yeah. I remember that comic. Haven’t gotten entire issue just last one, so I wasn’t entire clear. First time seeing another Monitor that is not assigned to Halo iirc.
And yeah shield world in Halo wars was quite fascinating. Kinda weird structure that have artificial sun inside. I wish Halo Wars 2 come out and clarify more.

And Bungie’s love for number 7 placed importance on Halo 07. Someone showed Halo 3 screenshot how it is infested with Flood outbreak. It has to come out within the game.

Actually, ending showed Halo. It was retelling of Halo 1, but still.

Fight SMARTER, not HARDER. Killing your enemy, securing your territory and keeping your people safe is far more impressive than just killing everybody.
