Every time I come to the forums it is just people complaining about stuff I had never seen or noticed in the game. Why can’t people just play the game and have fun? Halo for me was never because the game was perfect. With the classics people just played to have fun, and didn’t care about what the game had or didn’t have. It’s good to give criticism, but still try to just have fun.
Because Internet.
A lot if it is just constructive criticism. But when a post about an overpowered storm rifle goes into the main threads people really are reaching for something to moan about.
A lot of video games now-a-days get criticized heavily for some reason, its not just Halo. People want games to be 100 % perfect. A lot of it also has to do with the hype train that people jump on before these games come out. Its true Halo 5 could use some improvement but it’s still a great game.
I don’t mind the rational criticisms so much as I mind:
a) the whining
b) the “343 sux, Bungie is GOD” attitude
c) the focus on trivialities (like playable Elites and armor customization)
d) the lack of focus on critical issues (like the ranking system and motion mechanics)
e) the conviction that the poster knows more about game design than the game designers
f) the conspiracy theories behind the lack of split screen
g) and all the people who disagree with me

pretty much this. too bad there are little to no rational, mature discussions on these forums.

a. True.
B. True.
C. Sorry that Halo 3 had elites and ‘4’ customization slots while Halo 5 has no elites and ‘3’ customization slots. We might as well get rid of customization at this rate. Where did the Halo 4 system go? At least: Head, Arms, Legs, and Torso would help, but it doesn’t fix all the stupid white lines on armor and mismatching secondary color on some sets.
D. Fair enough.
E. Fair enough.
F. I’m glad it’s gone, no more splitscreen matchmaking. Should’ve stayed for campaign though.
G. Superiority complex is superior.
The only threads I find really unnecessary are
- Why was I banned - Nerf everything - Troll posts - Complaint threads backed up with no evidence or suggestion of improvement

ahem
a. True
b. True
c. Trivial. When’s the last time you were in a match and someone stopped shooting you to compliment your leg armor? Never? Shocker. Shoulder pads? Point is, the only person that gives a rip about armor is the person wearing it. Why put so much effort into 200 different ‘left arm armor’ skins when you could be polishing the actual game?
d. True again.
e.That’s everywhere.
f. I wish I could play with friends, but the One came with one controller and I ain’t springing for a second.
g. Joke is joke. Also honest.

C. More content is always better, even if it’s just armor customization. GIMME MOAR!!!
I always see complaints about all these glitches and problems but I have neve run into any yet
“false” negetivity? Im fairly surely the rampant complainers are genuinely negetive lol. Some of it is constructive criticism, but there is ALOT of negetivity going both ways. I hear “butt hurt” (stupid phrase) alot, git gud from some which is not only unhelpful but overly bad spelling lol and a variety of other insults and put offs that are popular. Disagreements are fine, it’s why things are interesting, if we were all the same it would be boring. But the rage and hate is unnecessary
Anybody reminiscing back to the good old days when it was all rainbows and sunshine either doesn’t remember, or just wasn’t around. It’s always been there, it’s not a new phenomenon. Aside from that, I don’t think this thread needed to be brought back.
