We all know the mcc was broken or still is for many people (not including myself as it works fine hence a few minor bugs) but these problems that people are experiencing shouldn’t negate you from buying halo 5. The mcc was a massive undertaking. 4 games in 1, 1080p, 60fps, remastered halo 2. Its evident they didn’t have enough time to finish it.
The point is, halo 5 is just 1 game… not 4 all on 1 disc… one game. If there are any problems with it, it’ll be much easier to find and fix them as its not as complex as the mcc. Also with the beta, the servers should be stable for launch and 343 will have fixed everything as they have so long to do so. Halo 4 for example, was pretty good at launch. I don’t remember any problems.
No the multiplayer wasn’t fun because of many reasons, which a beta would have solved(they didn’t have time) it didn’t have many issues at all and the campaign was amazing. Out of all the halo campaigns the dialogue and characterization was alot better to say the least. Halo 5 should launch very well so please go into the beta with an open mind and give your feedback to 343. I will be buying the game, will you be?

I hope not! I want Halo to be a success, but for the love of humanity, why are 343 employees not working the weekends to fix their game/server woes? As a IT professional myself, when my company had a server issues that stretched into the launch of our product that fell on a weekend, we (my team and I) all took it upon ourselves to come into work that weekend and fix our product for our customers! We didn’t get overtime, any recognition, etc. we just did it because it was the right thing to do!
They messed up 4, too. So … yeaah.

Wait? What I am ONLY AGREEING TO WHAT HE SAID.
I will be waiting next time around. They never made classic CTF for Halo 4 (they said they would). They failed hard with MCC. I will wait for a used copy. I don’t need to give them any more money. They are 0-2 with me.

would you call it a success? Halo 1 and 2 campaigns are buggy messes(I havent played 3 and 4 yet but I dont think they are different) and the multiplayer doesnt work. Its 2 weeks after and its not any better…matchmaking is worse for me after the patch. To me its not debatable, for now its a complete failure.

No not by any means would it be a success. For you, yes its a failure because you can’t play. For me, I beat halo ce and halo 2 campaigns and the only bugs I experienced were the audio not syncing properly. The online takes a few minutes but works for me. Its different for everyone. but its not a success because alot of people still are have trouble

Its ridiculous. I’m not defending the game or 343, I’m speaking my opinion on what happened and how it shouldn’t impact future halos.
Halo 4 was a failure. Halo MCCE was a failure.

I’ve completed CE on legendary with no issues whatsoever, all achievements unlocking normally, no crashes, no nothing. I’m half way through Halo 2 legendary and so far problem free as well, and my service record can back that up with my timestamps and achievements. For myself, I would say that the campaigns are an absolute success.
Just because the game isn’t working for some people doesn’t mean that it isn’t for everyone. People are quick to jump on the broken game band wagon, which in no way helps them fix the issues. They need to be able to isolate what factors different between users having and not having specific problems to be able to find the cause of the problems.
