Am I alone in thinking that it is a bad idea to have a max exp cap for a person per game. Without Double EXP the highest I believe in 2981. Why? This restricts people, and it gives no rewards to those who deserve more.
Did you know you can get 10 kills in spartan ops, AFK for the rest of the game and still get the ~same EXP the top performer has.
Matchmaking is practically the same, the credit payout is completely steady and hardly is influenced on what you do aside challenges.
You’re getting the same EXP as mostly everyone else did that game, even if you were there for the last minute.
Technically it is put together in such a way that even a player so skilled they hit this cap every day will still require an exactly specific amount of total played time to max out their rankings.
It is just 343i exerting some control over the ranking system. Technically it becomes much easier to notice someone trying to cheat the system from the outside too. If some guy tried to hack XP into their account they’d rank up much faster then the numbers on the fastest time actually possible.
That’d be my guess, at least.
Thats awful! Why would there be a system that bad? I mean I understand trying to catch cheaters, but I would still like to get more credits for doing good.

Exactly!
Xp caps are Generally poor design choices, saddly devs still think they are good design. Long leveling is fine, helk even degraded xp returns is fine but caps and limits are not good except for artificially padded time to level by forcing you to stop playing.
Per game cap? With double XP and my Fast track skill I’ve gotten like upwards of 6k per match. 13k in Spartan Ops. :\
I think its pretty good where its at. What really needs to happen is a removal of the exp cap overall. Its absolutely re-tarded
