Look I’m fine with them putting a bit of a twist but I’m just saying no other ai will match her skill and intelligence.
I think Bungie would do the same,(killing Cortana) max probably later in the game. Maybe they (Bungie) would finish the 2nd triology with Cortana death.

Because a heroes’ journey is pointless and bland without personal loss. Epic journeys have to convey a sense of trepidation and uncertainly to excite and engage its audience. Before Halo 4, Chief’s personality didn’t amount to much more than that of a sterile brick; there was no story arc or character development. He was just a stoic dude in a hunk of armour, and the only thing that brought Chief out of that was his friendship with Cortana. Now that he’s lost her, he’s finally getting to go on a journey of realization and self-discovery.
