So I’ve recently just come off “timeout” from being just an awful person on these forums. Now that’s over with, back to “you” -Yoinks!-. Just bare with me on this one, it might be a little lengthy but I promise it’s not as long as the 25-100 page thesis you had to write in college. If you didn’t go to college, then I know you had to write a lengthy, 5-10 page, paper in high school. For those that didn’t finish high school, well I’m sorry. You might have to find someone else to read it for you.
But seriously,
I would like to start off this forum with aiming my thoughts towards big brother, the monitors. Please, for my fellow halo players, save our sanity and make these topics have one forum and one forum only;
-aiming/weapons
-game play mechanics (heck if you really want to splurge put Spartan charge, ground pound, -Yoinking!- spring, etc. in their own),
the mistakes 343 made with halo 5" (that one might be reaching but it’s worth a shot)
-So, I need some help understanding something, why do people feel the need to make these new things in to such a big deal? They add new possibilities to game play, everyone can use each one and each movement can be countered. Is the whole, I’m nervous because its something new and I just cant handle it? I understand that I do, but its not impossible to figure out how to counter these things. 343 did, IMO, the best job out of any halo, -Yoink- probably any FPS game, making a very, very, well balanced game. Everything is pretty much prefect. If you have questions or want to comment on whats not perfect feel free, you can message me and I will be able to tell you why it is balanced. If you want to go through every single item, from OS/camo, to gun spawns, to spawns, to map play, to every single gun, We can. We might just start becoming BFF’s because we will be talking to each other for a while. Buy me dinner first  (apparently I am already taken by master chief, so you might have to deal with him)
-playlists (and each month close one and add another)
-campaign
My only comment on this is, since when did people start buying halo just for the campaign?
-Warzone
-Req packs
No, this is not gambling, this is not pay to play. It might be, pay to save some time, but that’s really it. If you honestly hate the idea of paying for req packs, the good news is YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THEM! If someone wants to through $1000 dollars towards req packs then good for them, “throw” your whole damn pay check for all I care. It is their money, they can do whatever the -Yoink- they please. (and no, I have not spent any money to buy reqs). If you want to collect all the req cards as fast as possible, start with buying bronze, as soon as you obtain all the unlockable cards you can through bronze, proceed to silver, then gold. I play with people that do not use any reqs, they do just as good, if not better than everyone else.
-split screen

A couple different reasonings behind this, one, so we don’t have to keep beating all the dead horses. We’ve had enough slaughter. At least once a week this -Yoink- (stuff) comes up and people just repeat themselves. To save everyone some time they can just read the first 200 page post and I’m sure you’ll find someone that has almost the exact same thoughts as you.
If you don’t like the game, then don’t play it. Seriously, I do not understand the reasoning that people want to come on these forums and post all the things they hate about this game or just talk -Yoink- (bad things). From my point of view, if I buy something that I am not satisfied with, It’ll be a F you I’m outta here. I understand there are a lot of halo “stans” that have been playing since day one, but when ODST came out, I bought, didn’t like it, stopped playing, continued life. Honestly you should thank 343 if you don’t like the game because they just saved you a couple days-couple months of your life playing Xbox. Also, 343 already has your money, its in the bank account and its not coming out. For the people that feel they are giving the middle finger to the “man” by returning the game, you’re not. Just so people are aware it would be the person/company buying/giving you the money. I’m almost 100 percent certain 343 will never know you returned the game. But hey, you lost roughly 10 dollars to spend a couple hours or so doing something you did not enjoy (go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back) GO YOU!!!
I understand what I just wrote makes 343 to look at money hungry devils, I feel as every big company is, but the majority of those companies (especially video game companies) honestly care about their product and want to make the best game. I know for a fact the majority of the employees play halo 5 and enjoy the game. The last thing they want is for everyone to hate the game and stop playing.
The whole “they spent 3 years making this game” argument is just old and very ignorant. Ignorant being, I feel as a lot of people don’t understand what it takes to make video games, especially a FPS to this caliber. Just the balancing of the maps takes a very long time. I didn’t notice most of it til a good amount of time spent on the game. Seeing as they probably have a little better knowledge then I do, it might take a little less time, but I’m sure it takes a while. The graphics, design, naming every -Yoinking!- thing on the maps. The dialogue. Okay enough. Are people really that…do people really not have the knowledge to comprehend that? 3 years is actually a very short time. Okay heres an example I feel could help the “simple folks” or the ones that just want to use that brain they have.
Example: Avatar the movie, right? Everyone with me? it took roughly about 4 to 5 years to make this movie…and the movie was only 2:45 mins…

TL DR

A LOT of people buy Halo for the Campaign. Including me.

And I don’t see why we need a new Forum for any of the game’s criticisms. People just want the game to get better.

I actually do buy Halo for the campaign. Thankfully, I enjoy playing the multiplayer until the next installment comes out. That’s why I don’t jump around from game to game. I just stick to the current one until the next one comes out.

But good job coming back and not instantly try to start stuff.

In summary

> The whole “they spent 3 years making this game” argument is just old and very ignorant. Ignorant being, I feel as a lot of people don’t understand what it takes to make video games, especially a FPS to this caliber.

No, it’s not. Other game studios manage to accomplish the same amount in the same time span, or even a shorter time span (see CoD?). This makes it self evident that three years is enough time. Game development is hard, but that doesn’t mean it takes -Yoinking!- ten years to make a decent game either.

Most of the arguments you’ve provided can be summed up as “just get over it”. That’s not very compelling. I’ve already read that article too, his PR buzz talk is straight up laughable.

Since when does that excuse its quality?

I’d rather not listen to whatever apologist arguments you happen to contrive on the spot.

So my long paragraphs can be inevitably buried under tons of people spouting terrible one-line responses? No thanks.
