This game can not compete with Apex Legends at all outside of being more popular strictly on Xbox.
Apex is huge and this game isn’t touching it as it is more fluid, faster, bigger etc.
Not knocking the game as it is ok.
But I reinstalled Apex just the other day due to boredom with Halo already.
Apex just bored me due to being sick of battle royale overall and not liking economy based games which is what Apex’s arena mode is…but going back felt so different I could barely play.
Halo is a game filled with so many artificial restrictions and delays that when I went back to a game that wasn’t purposely hindering it’s players at every turn, I could barely keep up.
This is old man gaming at this point lol. It will never attract the younger audience that Apex does.
Zero chance, Halo can not and will not compete with it with a massive overhaul that fans don’t seem to want in Halo at all.
I still can enjoy the game for what it is though.
I mean Halo not being on Playstation is a huge disadvantage, but Halo has some huge advantages over Apex.
- Its a far more competitive shooter. I was watching an apex tournament the other day (it was months ago) and it was so hard to watch that I couldn’t even make it halfway through without being bored. Its basically like 10 minutes of camping around, impossible to follow because the game has craploads of different classes, and a lot of is just random so the best team can die first due to unlucky starts and so on. Halo on the other hand is a lot more compelling.
- Halo has AI/SP. Believe it or not, but there are a lot of people that don’t necessarily care about PvP. Infinite can have Firefight/Campaign and so it can offer something that Apex does not.
- Its easier to pick up. Infinite does not have some huge metagame strats like team synergy and whatnot. Halo is far more noob friendly in my opinion. You don’t even necessarily have to know how to shoot your gun, you can just be a humble Uber driver and feel like you are contributing to the team’s success.
- It can offer more variety to players. Forge, lots of Gamemodes, PvE… I just think its a more compelling game long term than Apex. Apex’s main strength (which is also in games like Dota or LoL) is that its extremely complex. You have to invest hundreds of hours into Apex to really understand it, so the game arguably will only become more interesting for long time fans whereas a game like Infinite will always have the same strategies and challenges.
Regardless, I could easily see many people playing them both. They have similar core gameplay (I’m mainly talking about the shields and the overall passive aggressive gunfights) similar genres (both Sci-fi) and a similar demographic (Apex has an older demographic than Fortnite obviously)
Its all sort of a gamble. I just think that out of any game on the market, Apex is by far the closest competitor to Halo. CoD is a drastically different game, with a completely different type of experience, CoD and CSGO are closer than CoD is to Halo. Halo is definitely not like too many of the other shooters either like Fortnite or Siege and so on.
People saying that this game is “dead or dying” are just griefers trying to ride that hype train of “dead game”.
Literally just QANON but online for Halo.

They are sitting on top of a gold mine. If colours stay restricted to certain armours then there are millions of potential items they can sell. They’ll never provide that though. And that’s why I don’t play. Looks like a tacky mobile phone game with everyone unlocking the same paint jobs.
Actually it already faded into obsrucity. Only the die hard infinite fans are playing right now. Anyone that plays other games are playing those other games.
Many people left already due to lack of content, desync, missing features, hacking. You name it.
First impressions are everything in a video game. The player base has been set and it will decline from here only to go up again once forge and co op releases
Now it makes sense why the way you are. Especially seeing how you phrased “Qanon”. You probably think the economy is doing great right now just like the many others who use that phrase

For me COD is the only game that scratches a similar itch to Halo. CSGO/Valorant and BRs are too different in playstyle. I like the action of less people running around on small maps killing eachother multiple times and adapting as the game goes on. Instead of the round based or last man standing style of play.
I don’t think FPS like Halo and COD multiplayer will ever compete with BRs/ COD Warzone again. BRs have taken over and the younger generations love them way more
