The Elite in love with Commander Palmer?

In Halo Infinite - I think we need some closure on this and a few other issues. There is an Elite in Halo 5 who reads a love poem that he wrote for Commander Palmer. I think it would be awesome if they continue that in Infinite with the Elite actually manning up and confessing his love to her - face to mandible. As a side note, I also think we need to see the food -Yoink!- the grunts talk about so much and them using infusions.

Thoughts?

Eh, no. Let’s keep that out of it. For the sake of the Elite when Palmer will inevitably look at him in disgust. We don’t need some weird cross-species love story in the games. This is Halo, not Mass Effect after all.

There is a big mistake of love over here
Maybe Master Chief stop the love with one bullet of Magnum in the face of elite

Oh I don’t want the love story to flourish or anything. I’m fine if she rejects him hard, as long as its funny :stuck_out_tongue: - Could be IWHBYD related?

Nice idea.

Feel free to write your risqué fan-fic about Palmer and that Sangheili warrior.

Maybe we could see a sad elite as a hidden Easter egg somewhere but other than that I can’t see it ever being made into a cutscene or AI animation - would just be forced into the plot for no reason. Easter egg is as far as I would ever take it

Considering I didn’t even know this Easter egg existed I assume a lot of others didn’t too. Imagine just playing infinite and some random elite starts proposing to Palmer!? People would be baffled to context.

Tldr; maybe as a hidden Easter egg, other than that…a bit strange to put in a game imo

SPARTAN-II’s augmentations completely cuts off their -Yoink!- drive (which means that Master Chief is literally an incel). Is it the same for SPARTAN-IV’s like Palmers? Or is she able to reciprocate some hot, steamy, Sangheili love?

Itd be good as a little easter egg. Like if ar any point we are walking around infinity with the iwhbyd skull on, and theres a door where if we get close we could hear the elite reading the poem to her then here them talk about how it would or wouldn’t work in some awkward conversation. Thatd be perfect.

Some things are better unnoticed - like that.

But if that would come and the game wouldn’t be good… I wouldn’t like to imagine the big -Yoink!- “how dare they produced stupid stuff like that but are too bad to produce a good halo game???” lines

That only applies to Spartan-IIs. The augments are different for IIIs and IVs.

With Palmer’s considerably poor reception along with Halo 5’s, I doubt they’ll be continuing this anytime soon. Although, as much as I resent Palmer, she does have her surprising moments and I wouldn’t mind knowing what her response would be.

I like to think that he HASN’T worked up the nerve. I’d like to see an Elite on her Fireteam that keeps checking her out while standing idle.

That was an Easter Egg. Not sure if I’d cannon.

Damn, 13 likes?

Just no. Less of Spalmer involved in the story the better.

Since the Elite in question was only found in Intel, I doubt it would extend past that much relevance in Halo: Infinite. I wonder if that Grunt was able to keep his arms?

The Catalytic Thyroid Implant had a risk of suppressed -Yoink!- drive. It wasn’t a guarantee. Both Maria and Randall left the Spartan-II program to have families of their own.

The Spartan-IVs did not receive such a procedure, so they do not have the risk.

Had to chuckle at that, hehe.

I think it would be completely out of place what you propose,
but I wouldn’t mind some other form of progress regarding this particular Elite,
like finding a similar datapads adding further information, if he did approach her or not and so on.

No, please no forced comedy in Infinite.

Dear god

Not that shouldn’t be in the main plot. I can imagine perhaps something being in an audio log somewhere in the campaign, but if they try to do it as a cutscene or anything like that, it will just turn out weird and will get probably rather negative responses from the community.
