Controller aim assist is still way to insanely strong , its compleat madness …

In PVP the problems as been revealed even more … In PVP controller players will end up with 48 to hooping 60 % accuracy in most games while MKB player will end up between 38% and 48 % at best !

This behavior was already there with bots match but its even worst in PVP and make way more of a difference .

PVP Left and Right strafing spam make MKB players miss way more shots than the controllers players wich change the whole outcome of all fights

Also the moovement are slugish , clunky and unresponsive , especially the slide ignition wich has a 1 sec delay before the character initiate the slide … the moovement dosnt feel good at all

If 343 maintain the Status quo for this Aim assist AKA aimbot , i garantee you that the game will be a catastrophical failure on PC and Steam and the review will be mostly negative .

Moovement and smoothness of the animation from slide ignition to aiming to etc… need to be way more polish and responsive … Also the Scope canceling is ridiculous and dont make the game better it only make it worst .

And for anyones claiming there is " NO AIM ASSIST " or aim assist is weak

Here a guy AFK not even mooving and the aim assist track the player like an aimbot . The Aim assist you see in the video is the " default aim assist " the game has on controler but enable itself as soon as a MKB player stop touching his mouse , but then as soon as he touch the mouse the aim assist is Disable

Agreed, I believe they added more AA to because people were having a difficult time on controller in the first flight. This is the wrong aproach because the aiming and reponse curve combined with fps stuttering makes it difficult to track moving enemies.Until this is fixed we won’t know how much magnetism, or reticle slow is needed (no self moving reticle ever please!)

Go into the MCC, boot up Halo 3 multiplayer, play a few rounds, and then come back to Infinite. Halo 3’s aim assist is the definition of absurdly strong. Infinite’s aim assist is so weak it barely feels like it’s working.

Sadly aim assist has become normal even though it’s a legit aimbot… Don’t know how this has ever became normalized. Just because the devs say it’s legit doesn’t make it so. It helps by artificially helping with your aim which is a form of aimbot.

This feels like some sort of false flag mouse and keyboard player thread, in no way shape or form is the aim assist way too strong.

It’s practically non existent in my experience, especially with the sidekick.

PC dosnt mean they dont use a controllers , My friends used a controllers for 15 matches and had 50 to 65% accuracy and they are overall worst player than me and other MKB players on our discord yet they have performed way better than us in the PVP sessions we had and had consistant better accuracy wich make no sens since a controller by design is a less accurate device . So even if you want to achieve artificial parity it still mean Aim assist was to strong on controler and needed to be tone down not buffed

Factually untrue. The aim assist in Infinite is almost nonexistent. You want examples of it being insanely strong? Go play Halo 5 or another game like Destiny. Those games cranked up the AA and bullet magnetism to help players cope with the insane movement abilities in those games, and anyone testing the weapons there will find that guns can have their reticles off target but still land hits so long as they’re in the general ballpark.

Infinite’s AA is insanely low, even in comparison to the older Halo games before 5. It’s right where it needs to be now. Sniper feels good but challenging to use, Sidekick requires real effort to stay on target but is still effective. A little too effective IMO since the thing’s consistently outdueling everything short of battle rifles or Commandos at range but that’s a discussion for a different thread.

As for that Twitter post - sure, yeah. But what you’re failing to point out is that the reticle isn’t on target. All that does is help controller players keep up with M&K’s insane turn/scroll speed. It’s still entirely on the player to keep microadjusting for the enemy player’s movements and accounting for positioning. Even then there’s a -Yoink!- good chance they miss if they overcorrect, and there are times where that plays against them.

Don’t act like M&K doesn’t have their own advantages. Halo’s sibling series has become a place where no one in their right mind uses controller on PC unless they’re an absolute god at the game just because they will almost always get outmaneuvered in close quarters, and that’s a game with insanely high aim assist by comparison. Each method of input has its advantages and disadvantages. It’s on you to learn how to play to them. If you’re having trouble on M&K try playing on controller yourself. I’ve seen PC players wrecking house in the last 24 hours via streaming so I can tell you right now they are not at the disadvantage you claim them to be.

And people have tried to replicate that footage with zero success. Meaning this is likely a bug.

You must’ve downloaded a different build because the deadzones and aim assist in this flight are trash.

I hate to break it to you guys but scroll through topics. There’s a ton of controller players that have always been good at halo and can’t hardly get a kill in infinite. Ttk is way too fast and trying to spin around and shoot is useless. I’ve always been a good sniper. I don’t even try to zoom on a moving target with any weapon now. It’s not just me. Look through the threads guys. Aiming in general is a huge issue. I’ve seen a lot of theories and usually controller blame the game being set up for mkb and mkb blaming the game being set up for controller. So obviously it must be deeper.

The Aim Assist is almost 0, compared to Halo 5 this is nothing. The video you are referring to is a bug that only occurs on PC, I and many other people tried to replicate it and it ainda didn’t move a single cm… Try it yourself before making such a ridiculous post, basing it all on a bug that occurs only when you have a controller and MK both plugged in on a PC 🤦
