The dumbest thing in any halo ever.....

I Would argue the elephant in halo 3 is the dumbest thing ever. What was the point of it? I feel like bungie was thinking of two pirate ships going past each other firing cannons, but it ended up
being one dude driving it around the map and hen getting 4 shot in the back of the head.

“This cave is not a natural formation. Someone build it so it must lead to somewhere.”

Thanks Captain Obvious!

Ooh I don’t think I can top those two. Even 12 year old me at the time of CE thought the cave line was remarkedly dumb.

In Halo CE, at the final cutscene of Assault on the Control Room, Cortana is just yelling at Chief to find Keyes, with no explanation, and MC runs like a valley girl in PE class. That was just bad.

I think the dumbest thing in any Halo ever was removing split-screen

Yeah, the cave line is a classic. Maybe doesn’t top it, but

John : These Covenant seem more fanatical than the ones we’ve fought before

in ‘Dawn’ (Halo 4) had me and my brother rolling on the floor laughing. Like, the Chief encounters two Grunts and an Elite trying to kill him, business as usual, and after 10 seconds of combat he’s somehow able to determine they’re more fanatical from… reading their horoscopes I guess? Whoever wrote this line should get a Raspberry award for outstandingly dumb dialogue.

Also, I very distinctly remember Miranda Keyes’ brilliant reply in Halo 3 :

Random Marine : Ma’am, squad leaders are requesting a rally point. Where should they go?
Miranda Keyes : … To war.

In my mind there’s always a foghorn when the cutscene is supposed to end and the Marine is like ‘yeah okay, no but seriously where the -Yoink!- do I send our guys’.

Too soon man, too soon… :frowning:

From the mission Blue Team in Halo 5:

> They’re strong, but slow. Use the lab equipment to keep above them and out of their reach.

Yes, Fred, we know that Hunters are strong and slow. We’ve killed how many of the damn things at this point? You don’t need to remind me.

John be like ‘listen here, noob’…

I understand newbies need to be introduced to the enemies, but just a ‘remember’ at the beginning of the sentence would have made it seem like he was reassuring his team and justified the otherwise clunky exposition.

“No enemy withstand us,even the Flood will fail.”
Yeah Truth, its not like they cleaned the floor with your “Gods” a while ago.
