Judgeing by the fact that almost all the map pack pictures contained the dmr in players hands it would appear that the dmr will be dominant on these new maps.
What do you guys think excel or not?

Well I do agree with the fact it is the best weapon currently to use; I try to not start flame wars. Personally I think a damage or fire rate nerf is needed. I mean the dmr shoots the same caliber as the ar and the ar takes like half a mag.
You think a long-range, accurate weapon wouldn’t be the best choice on large, open maps? It will be exactly the same as the default maps. The poor weapon is going to get so much flak because the maps are big, open fields.

It deserves its flak. It would be fine if it was just a long range, accurate weapon, but having a faster kill time in close quarters than the Carbine and BR which, in theory, should win at closer ranges is the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

I agree it should be great at range. However I do feel its to strong in mid and even close range.
I should hope so, the DMR really needs a chance to shine along with a slight nerf to the BR and the Carbine.

No one said its op I asked the player population if they think the dmr will be a solid choice on the new maps.

Programming, of course.
Before this game came out I was set on only using the BR. After seeing how superior the DMR is on most maps I changed my mind. I have a friend that refuses to use the DMR and he gets destroyed. So yes the DMR will probably be the better weapon for those maps.

True. I think it was way more powerfull at some point as bs angel wrote a update way back about how amazeing it was.
