I Am Loving Halo 4, And the Multiplayer is Great so far. BUT i think that the DMR is Kinda Ruining the Game, Or What the Game Could be. it’s Pretty much Impossible to Rush the other Team on The Bigger Maps Because Almost everyone is Camping at Spawn Or Hiding Behind Cover with DMR’s and just Popping Shots Across the Map. I want to Use the BR so Badly!! But i Don’t, Cause it Can’t Compete Against the DMR unless you’re 10 Feet Away. And i am Not Saying the Game is Broken or Anything, But i would Just Like to Be Able to Charge to Other Team With a BR and Not Get Killed Instantly by a Team of DMR Campers. Anyone Feel The Same or am I Alone Here? haha
Here’s a thought. Don’t charge them head-on out in the open. You don’t do that in Team Snipes do you?

Lol No!, I Don’t Rush at All. After Playing a Couple Games of Big Team i Realized that if i’m out in the open for more than 3-5 Seconds I’m DEAD… To Me it Just Seems That the DMR is the Cause of That. Say if you’re Playing a Big Team Game on Ragnarok, If Everyone Had Either a BR or AR i Think The Teams would Actually Try and Control The Top Hill, Instead of What’s Happening Now With everyone Just Camping in the Spawn and Hiding behind Rocks
make a loadout with camo and AR / suppressor and sneak your way across the map. the DMR is good at long range it will lose to almost everything at CQC unless youre a terrible shot and the guy is DMR Jesus.
also if youre just playing BTB expect to be killed if youre out in the open for more than 2 seconds. theres 8 enemies on the map. BTB should have been dominion with 8 people. “BTB Slayer” should be 6v6

no. thats what its designed for, long range fir support, or as 12 year olds call it, “camping.” would you run out into the open if you know a sniper is watching you? same thing for the DMR
My first question is, why are you capitalizing every word? My second is, why are you rushing out into the open in a game where you can have your head blown off? My third is, don’t you know the DMR is made for long range cover fire?

You give the BR as a weapon too little credit. The DMR is easier to use at a distance but that doesn’t mean the BR cannot be used at a long distance because it can and has been. I personally prefer to use the BR because it’s back and it feels great. But I also love the new DMR. They are both 5 shot and get the job done as long as YOU know how to use them.

…? The only camping that can be accomplished in Halo is having the scattershot, shotgun or sword and crouching in a single area of the map to kill someone. In what way is using a long range weapon from a stationary position camping if it causes everyone to run for cover?
It causes camping as people will tend to move less when they know there’s an army with mini snipers (DRMs) watching you
DMR is fine. ive one almost all my big team matches and me and my team don’t use the DMR. If you think there is anything wrong with the DMR your clearly lack combat capabilities.

The DMR is clearly way too powerful, either it needs to do less damage or the other weapons need a range boost.

for that to work on most map you would need cover within 2 mmeter of each other for you to not get gangbang by 3 gy shooing a you with their automatic sniper

Considering the forums are filled with the same threads of kids crying about getting there butts handed to them. Instead of trying to get better they take the easy route and blame something else. I’m not even amazing nor my friends if anything we are above average at best and we never have any DMR trouble. If it was only a few threads i’d make a constuctive argument. But I’m already tired of these threads.
Get a DMR and blast them back or just get better with the BR. Personally voicing my opinion i say take the dmr out and keep the br in. Thats just the extreme halo 2 & 3 fanboy in me saying that. But to please all fans throw all the guns in their. Yeee haww!
people that are on the DMR isnt op side think that you suck when you claim its op but not matter ho good you are if the other guy have a dmr and even you land the first shot with the BR and both of you get all of their shot(a lot more difficult for the br user) the DMR will always win no matter what and at long range to middle range the DMR will get a even greater advantage over the BR user thats the base of the OP facts…the balance of something is based on eual footing of player if 343 start balancing the game with skill in minds it will break the game even more… people that defend the DMR are just ignorent -Yoinks!- that dont know wtf Game balance is…

Blatantly ignoring the fact that the DMR is more powerful than the other marksman weapons and telling people to “get better” is childish at best.
The DMR has better range and accuracy than the BR, Carbine, or LR and it needs to be changed one way or another.
