People stop getting mad just because 9/10 times your getting killed by a DMR. And stop saying “I have to be forced to use he DMR because it’s the dominate weapon in the battlefield.” Ok newsflash, every weapon is different DMR best at medium to long range. The battle riffle is a medium range rifle. Now if you have a battle rifle and your foe is a great distance away with a DMR no duh your going to lose, because you packed the wrong weapon. Now if you are a dedicated battle rifle guy, you should use the environment to move to cover and get closer. As for the reticule bloom, if it was like it was in Reach, then the DMR would be useless, because they are other rifles that can take you while you are waiting for the retinue to reset. A fair weapon balance for a precision weapon that is way more difficult to use as opposed to the battle rifle. The infinite range is true, but as you get farther away it becomes more difficult to land your shots.
I can complain all about the battle rifle if I’m the guy who engages a player armed with a battle rifle in close range combat and I’m using the DMR. Obviously my foe has an advantage, his weapon is better at close range.
Stop complaining and play tactical. As for 343i, please keep the Loadout system in which I get to use the rifle of my choice when I spawn. Thank you 343i, don’t mind these skill-less haters. Thank you!
Except for the Bolshoi and plasma pistol that was not a smart move to give players these 2 power weapons to Loadout with.
You don’t need to use the right thumbstick to outplay someone with a DMR. I don’t use the DMR out of the dissatisfaction by killing someone with it. That said, the ridiculous aim assist with all weapons grants little to no satisfaction when killing someone.
> Doesn’t stop sore losers from complaining 24/7 about it
Umm…now people complain about the BR more than DMR…
It was balanced a long time ago, in fact, every weapon got a tiny or big boost except for the DMR, Boltshot, and Suppressor which all got worse.
This hasn’t really happened in a year…Light Rifle takes up its niche and the BR can easily beat it because of the four shot ability and spread.
Your missing the point my friend. No matter what rifle you use, 90% of you winning is on you and how you use it. Lets say you lose a close range battle in which your opponent is using a DMR and your using a battle and you lost because your opponent killed by landing every shot he made and you didn’t. You lost because you missed shots using the BR not because the DMR is OP. Now if you made all your shots with the BR you would have won because its better then the DMR at close range. Maybe the BR isn’t the best weapon for you, try something different dont blame the game because your not good at it.
The boltshot definitely was a mistake. However, nothing is more satisfying than throwing up a hardlight shield and watching the idiot using the boltshot commit suicide because of the hardlight’s ricochet. Classic humor…

OMG why didn’t I think of that. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH

I feel like I tried that once and it didn’t work…
I guess I’ll have to do some test-runs in custom games.

If you know what you’re doing with a DMR, it is possible to beat a BR at mid- to close-range. As long as you don’t miss a shot on the head, it’s a four shot kill. That being said, if you’re experienced with the DMR you have a 50/50 shot at beating a BR.
I also don’t think they should have lowered the suppressor. What’s the point of even using it anymore? If you get in a 1 on 1 battle with automatic weapons and you’re carrying a suppressor, expect to lose every time.

If the opponent landing a 4 shot on you with a BR to the head and the DMR does the same then you both die. But it is difficult for many to land 4 straight DMR shots to the head at close range.
I don’t see why someone would complain about this at the moment mainly due to the fact that they balanced the weapon with others. Where have you been lately?
