These four scenarios describe Halo 4’s matchmaking for me in the last few days.
Scenario 1.
I join into a match, my team is a bunch of regular players, the other team is an entire party of 2.5 K/D tryhards, a team-mate quits before the match starts, I try to play but quit too because there is no real point, I then restart matchmaking only to end up in the same game, and get another loss. this accounts for about 1/3rd of my games as of late.
Scenario 2.
I am match into a game that is already in progress, onto the losing team which is out numbered. I would say that every once and awhile I end up on the winning side, but not often.
Scenario 3.
I am optimistic that we will win the match that we are about to start, but once the game starts the other team is so laggy that we lose map control, and fight an uphill grind against teleporters who seemingly are made out of tank armour.
Scenario 4.
Good game, we win, or lose, but it’s close, usually I play well enough that I am satisfied with the game either way, we tried.
It’s a shame because these are fun maps.
This has been my experience with the DLC play list since yesterday, I am starting to feel like it’s time to put this game on the shelf because of it.
1/3 rd of my games are fun. 2/3rds are frustrating for one of the first three reasons. It is hard to enjoy the game when it miss matches teams so much!
