The Division vs Destiny vs Halo

Do you think that Halo could ever become a Destiny or Division type game? Do you think it would work? How so?

What do you mean?

That doesn’t sound like a very good idea.

I assume you mean open world, with the possibility of RPG elements.

Could it work? Yes, I believe that it could work. It would just require a ton of changes. In a way, ODST is a lite version of the same concept.

However, “should it happen” is an entirely different question altogether.

Like a shared world shooter “Destiny” or an open world third person shooter with RPG elements.

That’s what i meant. Something like ODST but on a larger scale. Maybe being an ONI agent starting out or something like that.

I think u mean division. Vs destiny

it would be cool, but I don’t think this is going to happen…

frankly I hope they take more pointers from Battlefield 4 and DICE in terms of multiplayer advancement with their next title.

If Halo turns into any kind of RPG, I’d much rather it be more like Mass effect (preferably 2) with a deeper story and sense of exploration versus a always-online watered down MMO-esque title with little to no story like Destiny.

Halo like Mass effect kind of RPG hell yer all I see is $$$$ begin spent when people buy it

I’d rather that they look to the past and see what worked the best for Halo, than do what they are currently doing, which is looking around at other developers’ works and using their mechanics.

The idea kinda sounds cool but I worry it’d quickly become a money pit (like I’ve been told Destiny is, I’ll openly admit I don’t know from experience). I dunno.

The idea of creating a custom Spartan like in Reach, and playing open world co-op campaign or PVE either in a party or matchmade with randoms does sound kinda fun.

That’s probably the best choice for a Halo RPG-esque game.

No, I mean Halo having a future installment that would be an RPG similar to The Division or Destiny.

It would be nice to have some innovation, but that seems to be the trend nowadays. Oh, I like what they did in that game, how can we put that in ours? How can we make it better?

I love The Division and hate Destiny. If Halo went open world I would also prefer it to go more of the Mass Effect route. Good story and good exploration.

Please no lol

I really hope it doesn’t do this, the division and destiny are both so boring, open world games always end up being far too easy and the story with them usually sucks.
Halo is better off trying to stick to what it is and standing out for that reason, if we want an open world game, we will go get one but we play halo because we enjoy halo.

They were going to make this in the bungie days but they scrapped they idea. I thought it look strange but i know that there would have been people that wouldve liked it.
