I have a strong hunch that not only will the didact return in Halo 5 but that there will be other forerunners in the game as well as The title is “Guardians”. The didact is still alive in Escalation 9 and I highly doubt that the didact is someone that can be killed what do you think?

Not sure about the likelihood of other Forerunners, but it’s definitely possible.

well, i wouldn’t say very killable, since even John with all his luck wasn’t able to accomplish it, but looking at it like this, i wouldn’t wonder if we’ll see other forerunners. some, which are not on the Didacts side.
Didact can be killed but he won’t go down easy.
He took a Knife to the eye and didn’t even give a damn.

At the end of Escalation #9 it’s a miracle that the Didact isn’t broke Chief’s neck.
And the Didact isn’t shout or something after Chief throw the knife to his eyes.
Hmm…in the last cutscene of Halo 4, the Didact said that “We are Forerunners, guardians of all that exists.” So, perhaps the Guardians in the title means to the Forerunner and not those who I thought.

If thats the tag line for Halo 5, then i will seriously jump off a bridge. Thats probably the laziest job 343i could ever do.

And even better, Chief presumes that he has the jump on the Didact just as Oberyn thought that he had incapacitated Ser Gregor.
It looks like they both miscalculated. Because eventually, our heads are often crushed by ‘mountains’ of misjudgment.
