I was looking at the Refractive armor skin for the Venator set which made me wonder; what colors would you guys say the Didact has as primary and secondary colors?
I am also wondering, is there a special reason The Librarian’s Prometheans were Blue and why the Prometheans and the Didact emit an orange glow when the Didact is in control? I know that the Didact and Librarian are husband and wife, but with Blue being opposite to Orange on the colour wheel, was the choice of colours done to reflect that?

Because I’ve been fooling with a few designs, and I find that orange and blue hardlight are the most pleasing to the eye.
Maybe that’s why?

I think default for forerunners was orange, hence weapons and other thigns, and Librarian made them blue so she would know who’s on her side etc, but maybe that specific color was her favorite?

The way I see it is: Blue is the standard color for Forerunner things, and orange is the color of control.
Why?
Everything we’ve seen Forerunner-wise up until now have been blue. Notice how only the Prometheans and the weapons are orange? It’s because they’re being controlled. To further this idea, why is it everything Forerunner-wise has been blue, including the Sentinels, but not the Sentinel Beam? Why is the Sentinel Beam (or even the Monitor’s Laser) orange? Because they’re controlled by the users.
Now, you may argue back that the Sentinel Beam in Halo 4 is blue, not orange. Well, there was a blue Sentinel Beam version in Halo 2. So maybe there’s different versions of Forerunner weapons? Uses different ammunition or something like that?

While I agree, some of the forerunner building insides etc are covered in orange, though others are blue
