This is a more theoretical discussion. If for some reason, the Didact made an appearance in Halo 5, how do you think he’ll react to the Warden Eternal?
The Didact has been fighting his whole life to stop humanity from “reclaiming” the Mantle. He has been defeated by Master Chief several times.
The Warden Eternal is on Master Chief’s side. As he says in the E3 trailer, Master Chief is allowed to access the Domain. So the Warden is helping Master Chief reclaim the Mantle.
So what would happen if the Warden Eternal and Master Chief come across the Didact? They both control Prometheans, and both are Forerunner. However they each have a different purpose. I think this would be an amazing fight, what do you think?
There would be the argument of the century most likely. Eventually I would expect the Warden to win out, the Didact’s attitude towards humanity is mostly one of long held hatred and malice due to the Forerunner/Ancient Human war and what occurred during, at some point he would see reason and realize he should either help or get out of the way.
Several beatings to drive the point home may or may not be needed.
I don’t think the Warden is necessarily allies with Chief. He just might just be using Chief as a means to an end. I mean 343 Guilty Spark was our “ally” until we realized his true goal.

Uh… The Ur-Didact is also kinda well… insane, having been driven mad by prolonged conversation with The Gravemind, I doubt he would see reason as he is essentially a flood weapon.
Makes me wonder if we will actually be fighting prometheans as blue team, though I would imagine we would fight them before we discover the warden is assisting us and if he betrays blue team.
Ok I got to ask…if he is the Guardian of the Domain…and the domain is NOT as much in shambles as previously thought…Does it mean a piece of Cortina is still there as some speculated?

That would be what I consider, a -Yoink- move on 343’s part. The Didact has potential to be a really interesting and definitely threatening character. To kill him off in a glorified comic book…there are no words.

By the look of it the domain has survived/returned to some extent and a ghost of cortana is stuck there. It also seems that after the librarian leveled up chief he seems to be able to subconsiously tap into the domain, hence the didact telepathically speaking to him in halo 4 and only him seeing cortana’s ghost in halo 5.
That’s basically a small theory of mine, I’ll probably make a big forum post about it when I have the time.

I don’t think The Warden Eternal is helping Mater Chief but instead he needs him to access the Guardian probably to his own end. To be honest the voice does sound similar to the Didact and so could be high ranking general in his army, providing him as a means to be Didact’s voice. Also there maybe more versions with different names guarding each Guardian. But then again that is just an idea and am looking forward to finding out.

He was composed.
I also vote for Didact. They seem to have a similar set of capabilities,
