I have been playing Halo since combat evolved, and used bungie.net and halowaypoint threw out the years with multiple accounts. I have seen the forums slew back and forth between praise, rants, applause, flaming, encouraging, discontent, contentment, constructive criticism and destructive criticism threw out the years. From my experience It seems to only became worse over the last few year with release of the new consoles. I understand many of us had great hope and ambitions for the next generation of hardware and software. Maybe even set our exceptions to high.
With the release of Bungie’s Destiny many Halo fans might have felt like it was a let down based off my experience of the game and the Bungie feedback forum. If you ever spent anytime on the Bungie forums you’ll know how much of a yonkhole it’s become over there and I don’t wish that upon any forum especially this one.
With the release of Halo 5 and new COD 16 or something IDK I lost count. Many Destiny players throw out that turd and swapped it for one of the many new games released last holiday season. Many may have found out, the grass isn’t always greener and may have returned with salty taste in the mouth after being abused by our once beloved developer.
I do my research before buying games and recommend we all do the same. I knew what was going to be in the game a launch and what was going to be missing. I too was surprised that split screen was cut to maintain 60fps what I wasn’t aware of, the impact it would have on gameplay. Seriously Halo 5 is one of the smoothest games I have ever played on a console.
I too was disappointed when I saw the limited maps and gametypes. At the same time thankful I don’t have to pay an extra 40 or more dollars on a season pass but instead would receive 15 complimentary DLC maps. Also assumed more gametypes would be added. Either by our community via custom games and maps or including in updates and DLC.
Look I understand a lot of people want different things maybe a more traditional halo experiences, more social, more customized ect. There is just one thing I think we should try to understand the developers pure their sweet, love, and tiers into trying to create the best experience they can for all of us! They have limitations may it be time, hardware, software, publisher demands or management.
I’am not against people complaining, demanding change, and wanting more. I just think we all should try and enjoy Halo 5 for what it’s. Many passionate gamers and players us this site. We should try and be more constructive, helpful, and genuine with of feedback here. It might not have a greatest effect on Halo 5 but may effect the way Halo 6 turns out.
If you made it this far congratulations!
