With the UNSC Marines set to come back in the upcoming Halo Infinite, what will the design of the marines look like in the new Halo video game especially when it comes to their uniforms and helmets? Could the UNSC Marines in Halo Infinite wearing a similar outfit from Halo Reach, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3?

Well in the first trailer of the game, we know they had more of a Reach design.
But in the same trailer, Forerunner construction didn’t look like they do now.
So I’d say 50/50 on a visual change for the Marines, either they changed it for another design which still look like OG Halo’s Marines or H2A’s Marines or they kept it in Reach style. Either way, I’m happy that they won’t look like H4 and H5 white armored Marines.
They appear similar to the Halo reach marines, you can see their design in the earliest Halo infinite reveal, and while there have been significant changes toward the design of forerunner structures and Chief’s armor, I doubt the marines will change much from that design

I really like the design of the UNSC Marines from Halo Reach. I will be very happy to see that design coming back in Halo Infinite.
I know this a giga-nerd thing to point out, but the guys in Halo Reach are actually UNSC Army personnel. It’s kind of a nitpick I know, but I could see UNSC Marines using similar gear so it isn’t that big of a deal. Also a piece of concept art released a while back, that I’m not sure is for Infinite or not, (it showed the Chief and some marines hauling supplies), showed marine designs that were closer to the Halo Wars design as seen in that game’s intro. I was always partial to that design since it looked like a more refined version of the CE marine armor.
We’ll see what the final design is soon enough.
You’d have to do some digging but they’ve actually already released a screenshot that showed some marines from the back in a warthog. They look really good in my opinion. More reminiscent of Bungie era marines than H4/5.
Oh, I would love it if the Marines returned to their Combat Evolved look, but I do also like their current look! It reminds me a little bit of Halo War’s Marines.

I’m pretty sure they are Marines. In Joseph Staten’s section of the March Inside Infinite, he referred to them as Marines, so I think that is a fair indication of what we should call them.
They are definitely Halo Wars and Reach inspired with its own spin on it.
They look freakin good. Cant wait to see em in gameplay.
Halo 4/5 marines were too underarmored (the white ones). Otherwise the armored parts looked fine.

I dunno about Halo Infinite marines being inspired by Halo Wars marines. Their armors are more like H2A (which I think is were H2A get it’s design).
When you look at their back, the armor is more reminiscent of Reach design so I think it’s the only inspiration for Infinite armor.
