I got to say, I am not liking the December update so far. The main reason was the removal of the Premium Battle Playlist. It was the one place I, and many others, could go to play on DLC maps. Now, with it’s removal, I don’t see them at all. I know 343 said they would prioritize matching players will DLC and add weighting to the DLC maps, but it does not seem to work (or I’m just extremely unlucky).
Please, either bring back the DLC playlist, or start enforcing DLC in playlist. The Noble Map pack has been out for more than a year, and the Defiant is coming up on a year in March. I think its about time to enforce the DLC, or bring back the DLC playlist.
In addition (though this is minor), the issue with the new achievements: with the way DLC is treated in Reach, it’s bloody hard to get these achievements. Please, either enforce the DLC or remove the map-restrictions on them.

I am playing, right now, on Reflection. No DLC options. I’m not expecting DLC to show up every time, but here’s the thing: 343 removed the DLC playlist and did very little to compensate for that.

Many others have spoke about this. It’s a common problem in Reach. You just don’t see the new maps because most players haven’t even bought the DLC maps.
At least let someone share their displeasure of the game before you complain about it.
I feel like the only way you could at least have the option to play Noble and Defiant playlist maps was if the made some playlists DLC required like H3, which I’m all for. I question how well the algorithms for matching you more frequently with players who have the DLC actually work.
I’m having the same problem where I haven’t seen a single DLC map in matchmaking, and I played a good 10 games all on Team Slayer and Squad Slayer, i got stuck with -Yoink- forge maps and the original -Yoink- maps, whats the point in buying the DLC if we can’t even play them 343 ? I agree that some playlist like Halo 3 DO need to be DLC required.
Both of the original map packs should be offered for free and be made mandatory. It’s been a year, microsoft, I don’t think you’re going to squeeze much more money off that and the Reach pop would probably get a nice boost.
I get DLC maps all the time in other playlists. They’ve been increasing the likelihood of matching up with other DLCers constantly, and it works. Condemned has shown up a LOT.
They should be free. I purposely didn’t buy the Defiant map pack as a big FU to Bungie/Microsoft/Whoever. Barely got to play Noble. I bought Halo CE Anniversary and I regret that big time because you know what? Yes the maps are nice but the setttings are horrible and we don’t even get a pure team slayer annivesary playlist. Why push these objective games down our throat? Terrible.
I’m disappointed in the loss as well, I know that some time the matching system will get better, but my true grind is with title update features getting into other playlists, they may not be my most favourite but I feel that the people who don’t complain every five minutes about bloom because they have the inability to aim should be able to play the game how it was originally meant to be played. 343, please keep the these updates out of the original playlists.

This
I already got scammed into buying a terrible halo cash glut, I am never going to put any money into crappy maps on a crappy game. Make them free and stop being greedy and maybe this game can last until halo 4.

Seriously? The setting are amazing compared to the BS that is Reach Default. Also, I’ve played like two games of Objective in that playlist, you either have terrible luck with teammates who like Flags or you are exaggerating (I’m guessing the latter).
Quit whining, the maps are amazing, the playlists are getting moved around and fixed for the better, and MLG has new settings.

You posted this literally 7 hours after the update (at night when the population was terrible), you hadn’t even given it a chance.
If you still want to complain after a few handfuls of games then fine, but don’t act like you had an informed opinion at the time of coming here.
Why do people whine so much about not getting to play these crap maps? If I had to put up with them all the time, I’d be dashboarding constantly. I don’t like the Defiant maps, especially Unearthed. I don’t want to play SWAT on Anchor 9, and I don’t like Tempest so I deleted Noble too. I kind of liked Breakpoint, but I don’t play Invasion/BTB much. I had to redownload Defiant to get the new achievements, but after I get my last one I’ll probably delete it again. I might put Anniversary on a flash drive so I can play it or not. I don’t really have any interest in the new FF map, and I plan to be doing a lot of that to get my last 2500 for Onyx on Grounded.
