MLG are very skilled athletes and it is very well known that Halo is the most skilled multiplayer game of all time. Games like Starcraft and Quake tremble in their boots at the mere mention of the name: Halo. And when you say Halo 3 the heavens shake and angels fall from the sky, so epic is the multiplayer sport. It should be in the Olympics.
However this has all come to an end now. Microsoft will not be backing any more tournaments so now Halo is basically dead.
You see, I don’t play Halo because I love the single player, the weapons, vehicles, characters or stories. I play Halo because it’s a sport and it’s bloody serious business. SERIOUS BUSINESS FOLKS.
Getting to Level 50 is like getting a Gold Olympic Medal because Halo is such a skilled sport. Now not only has the true skill gone, so I can no longer have a rank nobody cares about, but now the tournaments, that nobody cares about, are gone too.
And now Halo is ruined, and worst of all, it’s all somehow 343’s fault. I bet they are sacrificing babies and singing Satanic songs as we speak. They are, after all, very evil.
MLG didn’t make halo. Halo was fun without it. People can still hold competitive games with tweaked custom games. I’m pretty sure there is already MLG maps and gametype. stop being melodramatic.
If someone don’t like Halo 4 that is a valid opinion. Hell they even have the right to complain about it alllll they want. However, at the end of the day, all the whiners are going to buy Halo 5 when it comes out. You’ll tell me “No! I’ll wait for reviews! I’ll wait for this or that!” (Keep in mind that Halo 4 got great reviews across the board.) Don’t kid yourself.

you made me log in just to laugh at you.
which game is a COUNTRY’S nation sport? SC.
which game has tournements broadcasted worldwide via internet and on TV? SC.
which game has been a successful esport game since 1998? SC.
which game has dozens of different teams competiting in tournaments worldwide? SC.
if anything, HALO trembles in it’s poor little boots at the mention of SC.

If you want my respect for being good at a sport, then go and become a professional athlete in a recognised sporting field, e.g. cycling, sprinting, longjump, karate etc etc etc.
Otherwise I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking… games are games, not sports, no matter how much idiotic bigger -Yoink- competition there is within them.
well we still have agl. i know i’m beating a dead horse here but i will never leave halo to go to cod, even if they are practically the same now. unless they remove shields and we get to spawn with rockets. but for now i won’t touch MM unless i’m in a party, customs and spops till the TU. hopefully mlg can get something worked out.
Are you kidding me? Olympic athletes?
Your account isn’t even level 50 on Halo 3 (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=UNHOLYACOOPER&sg=1)
,and your argument is so biased. Just because MLG may not be partnering with Microsoft for an undisclosed amount time does not mean Halo is dead. Stop over-exaggerating. The competitive are a minority in addition to this. I’m not trying to ridicule you, but stop jumping the gun just for the sake of complaining. I myself, am a competitive player, but stop assuming the worst.
