The Death of Master Chief

So I was reading several articles on the internet that said Steve Downes, the legendary voice behind the Chief, would like to see Chief die at the end of Halo 6. He wanted “a hero’s death.” So just out of pure fun, how do you, the wonderful 343 community, think the Master Chief should die? Any idea, badass or funny, would be accepted. Thank you!

He shouldn’t die. Once this trilogy ends, i want Chief to be able to say that he saved the Universe… twice.

I think we should get 3 choices on how the ending of halo 6 works and that stuff we do in the game leads to a point where master chief dies in a possible 2 situations and they should be colour coordinated so that people dont get confused with the choices they make

This has been discussed quite a bit already, but I’ll throw in.

In my opinion, the series should end without knowing if he is alive or not. Last scene should be him saving us all, but in the face of something overwhelming…

I want him to be Missing in Action. Seems fitting

I’d like to see him die saving a comrade, like the Arbiter or a new ally he meets in the new trilogy. Or better yet, be it his life that saves the lives of hundreds, maybe even thousands of lives during some intense fight or a huge explosion of something like the whole planet of Requiem or the other world they encounter if Requiem isn’t the planet they set foot on in Halo 6.

EDIT: If anyone ever watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network, I’d like to see him die epicly, like Hevy in the episode “Rookies”. He stays behind to manually detonate a bomb to destroy a droid-invaded base.
