This might be a repetitive post but I am curious as to why 343 decided to de-evolve so many weapons or the weapon technology possibilities in halo infinite.
The S7 sniper fires slower then any other halo that I can think of. I personally think reach had a great sniper. Why in halo infinite did they make it shoot slower instead of upping the graphics of it and maybe adding some sort of new feature like radar being plumbed in when scoped like nornfang from 5. Evolve the sniper but don’t de-evolve it
Plasma pistol - this weapon has undergone many tweaks but the emp feature has been part of the game for many games but removed in infinite and the tracking of it made worse.
Rockets - way to many things with this weapon, bad damage radius, really odd deaths (blowing up 1 of 2 people standing in at close range, sometimes the shooter, sometimes the enemy), no lock-on option.
Bulldog- umm not sure on this one. Not sure if it fully replaced the old shotgun or not., but considering it is not in the game I would assume that it did. Sure it’s fully automatic but at the cost of damage meaning the UNSC removed the one weapon that protects against the sword and gravity hammer. Sure it’s a new weapon but why remove one. They should have added feature to the old shot gun and scrapped this option.
Then there are all the missing weapons, which is confusing. Okay so the story line follows the banished which left the covenant/human war. But the Jackels, grunts, and elites would have taken their weapons and with the technology they discovered they would have improved on their weapons. The Unsc apparently lost some of its weapons like the spartan laser?
Not sure if this is a rant or some questions or just an observation, but why remove features and de-evolve weapons to make a sandbox balanced which it is not in my opinion.
