So is what you’re talking about, the sr152 emblem backdrop, I think tier 98? If so, again, just another way for us to get shafted. That emblem never looked good, or cool. Still yet, it was a badge only those to reach sr152 could have. I’m not surprised at all that it’s being given away, yet another brilliant maneuver… cool

Oh i dont mind the mantle being a backdrop. I mean its a backdrop, you see that, what, at the loading screen when you get your fireteam and then thats pretty much it. And 343 still have to use it in someway, so im ok with it.
Our mantle emblems and banner is what matters. You see the mantle by a name, your dealing with a 152.

I can’t lie, I wish they would atleast make it look as good as the watchdog skin on the weapons. I wonder if 343 has noticed our complaints and if so, if they will let us know if they are changing it.

I heard somewhere they have and theyre trying to take the correct measures to fix it, but I dont know if theyre taking 6+ months to alter a texture to make old fans happy.

Im sure it will eventually be fixed, (I really really hope so, the grind to 152 was alot and we were promised it) but I am a little more optimistic than most I guess you could say. If they would use the same texture they used on the guns I would be happy. I am however upset they are giving the mantle emblem away now. Maybe we should have gotten a different emblem for 152? Either way I’m happy I get to play Halo, I just don’t grind as hard anymore.

If youve seen the coatings they are about to release, watchdogs is about to be useless, at this point I agree with anyone who had proposed an armor set and/or a haunted visor.

Id -Yoink!- if we exclusively got haunted, but theres no way in heck 343 isn’t selling that.

Lets see what happens.
They said in one of these updates that they would make things right for the 152s.
Whats making it really easy not to even play is that nobody I know is playing infinite.
Thats saying a lot right there.
People from my old school halo days wont play.
Friends and family in real life gave up back in December.
People i played reach with, like seriously crazy halo fans that were inheritors, wont play infinite.
The people from my spartan company from halo5 wont play, and friends i made from that either. Were talking like 20+ 152s.
I still would have played, but Im going to take a stand on this.
343 is a disgrace, and if this isnt rectified by the end of season 2, im done with halo till 343 no longer control the i.p.

maybe us 152s can ask 343 to make it up to us? maybe not, im sure they are busy. but i can tell you if we got the haunted helmet and got the armor coating we were promised, i would genuinely never complain again. however i dont seem to have alot of desync issues and other issues some are having. i really like infinite alot. again im an optimistic person.

Yeah, haunted would make it all better.
I was an Inheritor in reach 3x over.
But theyll never make it exclusive to 152s
And even if they did, theres nothing stopping them from giving it away or selling it later.
Which they just keep doing with “exclusives”

You’re absolutely right safety, if something is an exclusive, yet is then sold, or given away, with 1 pigment change/ minor change, it then makes that exclusive a watered down exclusive, which then turns into troll territory.
I say that, because there’s no reason to do it, yet they do, over, and over, ergo it’s like they’re trolling for sport.
As for the people not playing, I 100% agree on every bit of that too. Noone I know that is/ was Halo diehards, played past December. I would still be playing if it wasn’t for the 152 debacle. It single handedly got me to leave the franchise I never left for 19 years, and play COD, the game I lost 95% of my friends list to over the past 15 years. Which now includes me in it’s ranks, which makes me want to throw up to say, but hey, at least I can play with friends every week, instead of begging them to play Halo with me. Then perhaps getting them to play Halo MCC once a year with me for an hour.
It really was as simple as a stand out item only we could get, let’s say Haunted, since that’s been brought up. That’s something we’ll never get, or get for 3 Days, before it’s sold for 4.99 to the remaining 700 people that still play Infinite 
It’s too late for whatever they do, and I just have to accept that. Launch day “new Halo” days have been gone for months, the chance for it to do good/ thrive, went by at 99.9 % the speed of light. AT BEST, we get the Watchdog coating fixed to be shiny, cool, but if the game is not played, what’s the point? It really sucks, because I never experienced desynch, or anything like that.

Well, full disclosure uber pwnr
Me and the boys and girls played halo 5 on launch, didnt like it since it was unfinished, and everybody went on to other games, or back to old school halo, not on mcc. (Which was still a mess until the launch of reach on it)
Kept hearing how impossible the grind was, and since the old school servers were unplayable, just started playing halo 5 by myself to see how tough the grind was.
Started playing h5 like 3 years after launch
Met a lot if new people, joined a spartan company, and grinded it out despite not really loving the gameplay or req packs.
Didnt spend a dime for h5, but I bought the voices of war req pack.
When I was about 151, watchdog was announced, and that was motivation enough to finish. Icing on the cake.
I thought I could avoid all the mtx crap and have my own unique skins that couldn’t be purchased.
I felt 343 was finally starting to understand how to reward and take care of its most hardcore community members.
Im not a penny pincher, I would have dropped money on infinite, i probably would have bought a new console if it was a legit halo game.
But we were all so screwed over by the mcc launch that to blindly preorder wouldn’t be wise.
So instead of being a potential whale, and buying a new console…enjoying infinite after a long wait with all the people I’ve met over the years, and my real life friends and family…
Im typing here in disbelief that no one i know is playing infinite, i have no interest in it, since its a horrible release, and I was lied to about getting my own unique skins.
343 said theyd rectify this, but I dont trust them at all anymore.
Who knows, maybe in a couple years ill come back and play, but its looking more and more unlikely.
Watchdog wasnt that important to me, but I gotta finally draw the line.

I’m kinda in the same boat as you, I do like Infinite though. I expect my watchdog skin to be fixed. Hopefully and maybe they will add in something extra that’s actually exclusive to those who got to 152. Honestly other armor skins look better and I’m not a fan of going through all that work to get a armor skin that looks like it got run over by a tank. I can complain about that.

I think a lot of us are in the same boat. I’ve kind of just had enough. It was bad enough when they mocked the fans with the H5 REQ video to insult the fanbase then lied to us about the Infinite progression system and then gave us a broken skin and we’re told to basically have faith that they’ll do the right thing…even though they have made plenty of claims about Infinite that they have gone against their word. I’ve like max rank on Halo4/5/HW1/Reach and nearly max rank in MCC and I’m genuinely not sure what I’m going to do after finishing MCC since I don’t feel like there’s any future for Infinite unless 343i make major changes and actually apologies for misleading the Halo community.
For me personally Halo is why I’ve always been interested in playing on Xbox and well it’s the main reason why I choose to buy other games on Xbox making it my main platform but with the way Microsoft have been behaving too it has had me frustrated like doing the stupid DRM despite claiming to be all for game preservation and then the awful management of MCC like refusing to deal with spawn camping feels like 343i are testing my patience. I’m literally paying for Xbox Live every year and 343i seriously makes me question why. Somedays I feel like companies like 343i may push me away from console gaming entirely and go the Steam Deck route because I’m tired of feeling like companies don’t care about putting the player 1st while claiming they do and it’s bad enough paying for Xbox Live when the servers for games like MCC and Infinite have been getting worse for a while.

The exclusivity of halo was always the draw for me.
Halo infinite is going to be uncompleted for years, so there is no draw for me from halo, just bethesda now.
Whats not helping long term player retention from previous halo games is obvious to me.
Here are a few;
- The old stats, h2, h3, odst, reach were deleted without being transferred in some way, legacy or otherwise, to MCC. Lol, you could have had people playing halo from time to time…for their entire lives, or the life of halo.
- Ending Spartan companies from H5. Adding to the distrust was giving away exclusive armour sets obtained by heavy grinding, Helio, etc
- Promising people the watchdog set if they completed the longest grind in gaming at the time then not giving us what was shown.
I rue teh day xboxone came out, and 343 took over halo.
