Unless the whole Watchdog reward is completely redone, with an apology, I’m never again spending a dime on Halo. Not a single thing licensed. I’m not even being bitter, or negative, I’m just done with the 1 way relationship 
I’ve broadened my horizons to other ladies out there, and they don’t treat me this way, and they’re fun to be around, for reals.

its been 2 moths since i made this post and 343 has not yet responded yet. Instead they made it worse by copy pasting SR152 weapon skin to HCS winter and gave it out for free.

Maybe it can help to give 343 some ideas what the 152s want as a reward. Btw. I am only 145 now but I will grind to 152 since I have more fun on the MCC and Halo 5 until Infinite is fixed and completed.
I have some suggestions, feel free to add anything else or come up with your own ideas.
152 reward ideas:
- emblem for everything (armor, weapons, etc…)
- nameplate that actually says 152?
- a unique (!) coating for armor, weapons, etc…
- a unique armor (achilles for example)
- a unique visor (haunted, unique color coating)
- something added to your nameplate (5 stars?)

How is it that a person who doesn’t even work at 343 like u can come up with something simple yet amazing ideas to achievement system but 343 cant. I swear to god the level incompetence 343 shows worries me for the Halo franchise because u have to remember its a TRIPLE A title company. But honestly ur amazing bro.

I have absolutely no knowledge in game development but I know a bit about design.
Halo always had such a great history of cool graphics and little details. I don’t understand why they can’t implement things like that to make us veterans happy.
I mean Halo always had military ranks, why can’t that be implemented on our spartans or nameplate? You completed every game on legendary, you get 5 stars on your chest or something. That would be so rad.

I want an exclusive armor effect, kill effect and movement effect. I wouldn’t even care if we got nothing else for color, emblems or armor if we got those three things. Though an exclusive helmet would always be cool if it wasn’t limited to a single core.
Effects stand out the most and are hopefully something that wouldn’t just be color swapped and then given away or sold in the shop later. Yes let everyone else who sees it be jealous. I don’t even know what exactly a promethean effect would be other then the kill effect but it makes sense to be promethean themed for 152 as the inheritors of eld
All of those are great ideas sir! It could literally be anything, as long as it is the slightest bit iconic, AND nothing like it is available in the store. If we are garbage, then fine. Give a trashcan emblem, pestilence flys blowing the armor, trash explosion on death/ action, and a skin where trash is stuck all over the armor. That way everyone seeing it would know what it’s for, it would at least stand out, you’d still get the money in the store, and still be able to talk about the epic Trashdog Troll you pulled off…
Exactly because of what I said earlier, either they did it purposely to get us to want to buy the store items (congrats btw, achieved the very opposite with me), or it’s because diehard loyalists mean nothing to them, or complete ignorance to it. That’s the only 3 options it could be, if anyone could think of others, please state it, cause that’s all I can come up with.
Try as I might, I can’t think of a single positive reasoning behind it… Which really, really, feels awful

My thoughts on the emblem for everything, I think it would be cool… Except I think we already have it as an option? Unless you mean something special, and not just Mantle (Or “Eld”, as they decided to call it for some stupid reason.)
A nameplate would be cool, but at the same time while it’s impossible to miss, you’ll only ever see it at the beginning of matches/in the lobby. It wouldn’t stand out in game or notably set you apart from the guy next to you who started playing yesterday.
A unique coating for the rest of the weapons/armor (And maybe vehicles!) would be AMAZING! Sure, I absolutely love the weapon coatings and will never change them, but now that HCS Winter has turned them into a fun little game of spot the difference, I would like something else which will REALLY get people to pay attention. (Preferably a coating which couldn’t be mistaken for anything else they ever release, would be a good damn start.)
Alright, my thing with Achilles is that I did the work for the full set, and my dream would be seeing all the people who did the work for it in Halo 5 get rewarded with it, but as much as I would love to just get it because I’m a 152, I don’t want to screw the people I worked with who didn’t get 152 but did get the armor and helmet, y’know?
Personally I’m a hardcore fan of Achilles, (We’re talking haven’t unequipped since the day I got the helmet and finally got to wear it with the armor.) So in my eyes, the last thing I want is to have it’s prestige ruined if they decide it’s worth being a bundle/shop item instead of something that represents amounts of dedication to rival the 152 grind. I did both, so the last thing I want is to see the thing that makes both of those achievements special turned into something anybody can get/get for reasons which might not be the same as they were in Halo 5. Although I do want to see the people who worked for both 152 and Achilles be recognized. They already screwed the people who have Watchdog a second time with HCS Winter, the last thing I want to see is Achilles suddenly being given out to people who might not have done the work. They’re both prestigious achievements and as much as I’d love to have Achilles given to me as compensation for massacring Watchdog, it wouldn’t be fair to other Spartan Company members who were there every step of the way, if not longer than I was. Lots of people did the work, I want them all to be recognized for their efforts. Just because I might have a 152 next to my gamertag doesn’t meant I deserve it more than they did. (I’m not saying that you think we’re entitled to Achilles, I’m just personally saying that it should be something which the right players are recognized for. Again, one of the biggest Achilles fans you might ever find, but if I had to pick between only me getting it out of my company or not getting it at all, I’d pick the second option for hopefully obvious reasons.
A unique visor would be cool, but at the same time what would they even do? I can’t think of anything on this one.
Having 5 stars added to a nameplate wouldn’t do much for you from a mid match standpoint, since it’s also only seen during the intro and whenever you’re in lobbies. Cool concept, just wouldn’t be seen enough for people to take note.
This was partially an excuse to rant about Achilles (For the sake of fairness, that is.) But I also did want to give a few lines of input on everything else you said afterwards, because I may as well say what I have to say about everything while I’m at it.
TLDR: I go on a rant about Achilles and provide some feedback on the other ideas.

Because they don’t care about 152s or anyone else in the community, all they care about is $$$$ and if that means reusing skins with a few changes so they can put all the real content in the store or premium BP, than that’s that

Damn I thought someone would also be for effects as a reward. I just think colors are pretty lackluster for such a difficult accomplishment and having similar coatings would happen eventually because there’s only so many color combos you can do. Effects are the only thing I can think of that stand out and they can’t “accidentally” make a 95% similar version in the store without being blatant about it. I do like the other suggests too though

. Dont know when at this point we will ever get out right reward (Armor coating) and they really need to compensate us with better rewards after what they did, they just gave out the HCS skin.

I deleted my last comment because it wasn’t giving something new to the topic but well, I was really sad about this topic (I almost drop the game) but after a few days I get realized about making new friends in the process of 152 and having fun with them was the really reward.
Yeah, if they make something about this it would be really great, but let’s enjoy the game instead and not giving to much hope in this so we don’t get depressed

Oh God, I never thought of that. Given some of the things I’ve said against 343 and the way it does/handles things, I am prepared to see a considerable ban length should I ever get one.
