The current Weekly challenge system outright discourages playing with friends

The system in place that limits down to 3/4 challenges at one time instead of MCC’s all at once means that anytime I even think of joining a 4v4 lobby, it disbands a few games later because of these challenges. This system needs to be reworked. I don’t know why 343 chose to break something that worked fine in MCC.

The challenge system is really soul crushing. And I mean REALLY. Like, extremely. To the 3,1416. Times infinity.

It is absolutely true. I play every Tuesday night with my friends, but make almost no progress with challenges because our playlist hopping is not specific to my challenges. Now, I prefer to play this way and ignore challenges, but there is no denying that it actually discourages partying up for those that do care about the weekly unlock.

Never really thought about it, but you’re 100% right. The challenges are a solo experience. Friend A needs to go to FFA, Friend B to ranked, Friend C to quickplay, Friend D to Swat. Only after the challenges are done you can re-unite. Ugh.

Money, and player “engagement”.
Limiting your tracking means you can get stuck, and run out of swaps, “forcing” you to purchase swaps if you’re desperate.

And to keep you playing for longer than you would’ve.
Atleast i343 is so doubtful of their own product that they think players would stop playing the game when they’d complete all the challenges early in the week.

I’m getting a minor “burn out” after completing the challenges and do not play after completing all the challenges. Having no energy to play what I want.

This challenge system is atrocious!!

Halo doesn’t need this or a shop. Free to play has destroyed Halo for me.

If they had to go FTP and paying for a battle pass, then they shouldn’t have a shop, and you should be able to unlock everything in the battle pass.

I hate how events and challenges are tied to certain game types that I don’t care for.

The one game I was relying on to not follow this stupid path.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Halo since the beginning, and I can’t believe if I stop gaming, it will be because of Halo.

This is not fun.
