The current status of Halo Reach as expressed by the community.

Hello everyone, it has recently come to my attention that many community members have been expressing a shared concern; Halo:Reach is dying. One community member in particulur express’s his concern of this in these next quotes,"Many things since the Halo:Reach beta have degraded,I am not sure why this has happened and I’m not here to point figers, but literally everyone I know on Xbox Live agrees that there have been major degrades to gameplay. One degrade in particular is the Frag grenade, the “holy” frag grenade of the halo rech beta to be exact. It was siad to be “over-powered"I say, it was not over-powered but it evened out the plasma grenade which is a instant-kill if it was in a specific radius much like the holy frag grenade did. With this addition to the game the sytem was even and I found it to not only be more fair but also incredibly more fun.” When this came to my attention I took it upon myself to start this forum and hear from the community so we can give 343 the much needed polite and accurate feedback. Please post any comments or ideas you have below, The community will come first!

Don’t let a few vocal minority fool you. The forums is only a tiny portion of the Halo community.

prefer h3 nades - those frags took some skill to get a kill
stickies and frags will always be different

The Reach pop. is dying for sure. If we can’t even hit 100,000 players online a year after release, then Reach wasn’t a big success. They changed up the “Halo” gameplay way too much in Reach.

MLG 2012 season. That is all I am going to say.

Expect great things from Halo once the next season of the Major Leagues start. They are going to have the MLG stadium up and running by then, they are going to have a new system so there are games every weekend. Things are going to look up and bring a lot of players back.

Especially with CEA’s finished titleupdate and maps. It will be a whole different ball game next year.

Guarantee it.

Guarantee it.

Fixed.

Fixed 2.0

Halo 2 had minor problems but that also added skill.

Not really anymore. There may be thousands on this forum, and there are only sometimes 28,000 players online for Reach.

Really? Because Reach has a healthy 500k average population throughout the week with some dips and obvious highs on the weekends and holidays. Reach has actually had a healthier population compared to Halo 3 a year after it’s launch, too.

I was online last night, west coast time, and there were 28,000 players. True facts.

Well the “players” that make things happen here affect the people who actually play it.We are the herders and the players are the sheep. Most players who play Halo don’t even know we have forums, don’t have a single clue.If you ask the players they will tell you that it is dying, too many changes too soon.

This

Talking about something dieing makes it die.

IMO Reach isn’t dieing it’s just a few people saying it’s dieing because they didn’t like Reach for whatever reason and want it dead and then other people read it and think they have a PHD on game lifespan then spread it other people think they have a PHD on game lifespan so it spreads then actually dies.

If you think its dieing and want to make it more alive don’t say it’s dieing, Do something to make it more alive. (tournaments etc) Then even if it wasn’t dieing it becomes more alive then it was, It’s a win win.

amen, thank you someone finally brought it out so please stop posting these kind of threads and give ideas on how to better the game without saying it’s dying or bashing the game itself

That’s great that Reach has the same amount of people playing as Halo 3 did, but you have to realize that another 25 million people have bought Xbox 360s since Halo 3 came out, so you would think that Reach would have a lot more people playing.

Halo is all that the 360 has to offer??

The times have changed, not are changing, have changed.
CEA’s release may have you feeling young again, but do remember, there are more games out there for the mainstream audience to choose from. Almost all of them are not exclusive to the 360 either.

Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox is still to this day my favourite game of all time, and look at its popularity. (I even got all my NG games in 1 thanks to that game).

Match making will pick back up once CEA is out. Halo isn’t dead, it’s just not “new” any more.

People that like to jump to every new FPS as soon as it comes out will of course feel this way, but I think most Halo fans realize there are lulls in between games and when a new FPS comes out until people get tired of that one.

Who cares about how many people play? The real Halo fans will always stick with Halo, as long as there are more than 8 people online I can play lol.

Ya really If you call this dying then I want to die like this.
