The Credits we deserve

Im a fan of the Halo games more now than I was when stupid Bungie was in control. One of the things i hope that 343 changes is the credit system. If you are trying your hardest get the most kills, bomb plats, flag captures that should be rewarded. We shouldn’t be rewarded for staying in the game we should be rewarded for our hard work. When I try
my hardest i should get something in return. Am i the only one that thinks this?

No, I also think that you should get a fair amount of credits for planting the bomb and blowing it up. Not too much though because you don’t want people betraying you for a few thousand bonus. Maybe 300 for planting the bomb or capturing the flag.

Match complete complete bonus should be replaced with a Matches won bonus, and all the kills you get in game should make up for about 10% of your overall credit reward.

First: Bungie isn’t “stupid”, they made they game how they wanted it, and a lot of people did not agree with their views.

Second: The credit system should promote winning and teamwork, not just kills and medals.

Raise the credit cap depending on ranks (especially higher ranks, they hit very quickly and discourages play time), reward players for capping the objective and not holding for 10 minutes straight while they spawn trap (which i approve of in slayer games btw) the other team on purpose.

That’s some of the changes i would recommend 343 to consider.

It’s good how it is, but at the same time is should reward you for winning. They have the system set up to try and prevent people from quitting out.

But at the same time, because of this, there have been many times where the majority of a players team lags or quits out, they’re going to keep playing even though it is a completely hopeless 4 vs 1 game.

I don’t see why because its a good idea. If we have something important to do we can go do it. Also your team won’t be screwed for being down a player and that is what really counts

credit system:
50cR perkill in slayer
20cR per kill in anything else
125cR per objective (flag capture, bomb plant, etc)
500 credits for completion
1250 for winning.(includes completion)

think that would work well. thats mostly based on teams though.

Bungie produced an excellent game. They are truly masters of the craft no doubt about it.

However when it comes to the competitive side of things, the lines start to become blurry. Some feel that despite Bungie’s apparent skill at making great games, they are not good at play testing them on a competitive level.

I believe that there should be multipliers at the end, say you capped a bomb thats a +5% bonus say you defused one + 5% bonus say you betrayed someone -5% same for capping, stopping and returning flags. and in KOTH for every 10 seconds you score +1%. Plus a winning bonus of +35%.

I was originally thinking that if we were awarded for scoring the objective then people would start betraying for the objective (ex. in Grifball people would betray you for the bomb and you could do nothing about it) but I really like your idea on being penalised for betraying. I reckon that would go a long way to stop statwhores in objective based games and would hopefully bring back some of the magic that Halo 3 had.

1000Cr for Game Complete

20Cr Per kill

5Cr per medal, multi kills multiply the amount of Cr’s. Double kill=2x Cr Triple Kill=3x Cr and etc…

500Cr for completing objectives

30Cr per assist

-500Cr per betrayal, I’m not sure how to handle accidents though

If they worry about betrayal take friendly fire out of the game i mean really what good does it do? They should have taken i out sooner

I regularly get 1-2 thousand more credits per game than my friends purely because my performance bonus is always much higher than theirs.

But if your Commendations are mostly silver or higher, you ONLY get a commendation bonus for actually attaining a new rank. While players who don’t have high commendations get a commendation bonus just for progressing TOWARDS one. So that’s another factor in why some less skilled, and ranked player might be getting the same amount of credits as you.

You really dont get much at all from comendations
