The Covenant maybe gone but we have a worse threat

That’s right, you have heard of that. The Covenant are gone thanks to the three factions, which one of them maybe an even greater threat than the Covenant and that is from Halo Wars 2…

THE BANISHED.

However they were not the only ones to take out The Covenant, there was also the UNSC and the Swords of Sangheilios as well, who also took out The Covenant.

However when Halo 6 comes, would you like it if the UNSC and the Swords of Sangheilios to face not just The Created and maybe even The Flood, but to also see the Banished as a new deadlier and tougher enemy to face against? Tell me what you guys think.

SoS and UNSC working together again? Yes please.

The Banished merely survived the Covenant, the SoS ended it. Even with that said, the Banished is a credible threat. Probably. Atriox is at least. He lost on the Ark because he was arrogant. He could’ve easily destroyed the Spirit of Fire and the Spartans outright. He decided to let them adapt and he lost.

If a ship with half a crew and inferior equipment can survive him, I think SoS and the entire UNSC can manage. Even with Cortana in the mix. No way Atriox would side with her, he’s too greedy.

Flood is where problems start. It nearly consumed the entire galaxy once. But Chief and friends stopped it alone before, sooooooo… 50/50?

Well along with the UNSC too, dont forget. Well yeah i mean i think that in Halo 6, the banished would kind of be a replacement than the covenant in my opinion. True, atriox is greedy, but i dont think that it is possible for atriox to get to the portal now, since that his only ship that he had was destroyed. So the remaining crew of the Spirit of Fire can reopen the portal whenever they like to, thanks to isabel. By the way i love that A.I. just as much as cortana now, too bad that cortana is now the bad girl in the halo series now.

It was the only ship he had at the ark. He has more ships in the galaxy.

Writing bigged the Banished up to be a lot more than they were shown to be. Not impressed really, maybe the future Campaign DLC will rectify that but as of now they don’t rate since 30 year old ship with a rag tag crew and old tech extracted the urine from Atriox time and again.

I dont think that the banished will ever be what the mighty covenant has been. But I hope banished will be in future installments as a sort of replacement for covenant so the alien shooting can continue. Id hate to just fight the robots. Well, basically hate to fight robots at all in Halo.
and i know that not all prometheans are robots so no need to comment about that.
im just hoping they get over this created stuff fast but properly. And the promethean stuff while they are at it.
not sure about the return of the flood though. Sure they are very atmospheric enemy that brings the feeling of threat but still. Sentient life in the galaxy already sacrificed so much to get rid of the flood once. I have a bit of mixed feelings about that.
and we definitely need more human-elite (or swords of sanghelios) bro teams in the future.

Don’t worry a lot of people forget that just because we don’t see a ship rodent mean it does not exist. Such as with the case of the battle for earth. I personally believe that the unsc had a lot more ships at earth considering there was a home defence fleet and all we saw was a battle group. Also reach had time to scan earth before he commenced his attack and most likely decided to attack at the weakest point of the UNSC defence force that was on his path to the portal.

I don’t think Banished will be in Halo 6. If you watch PC Gamer vid you see that Creative Assembly has a much greater role in the games production including unit design and even story. So the Ark was basically given to CA as a sandbox isolated from the events of the main game. This makes any cross over seem very unlikely.

Arbiter vs Atriox face off. Yes please!

Except it’s part of cannon and we know that certain elements of the out side halo universe have run into the banished before. Also the entirety of the campaign had to be checked off with 343 first before it was allowed to progress.

True but Halo 6 can’t avoid addressing “Cortana rules Galaxy”. It’s going to be about that.

They had a pretty obvious way of connecting Halo Wars 2 to that storyline and very consciously chose to keep them seperate. To me this speaks volumes about their intent. Also, Kevin Grace dismissed the idea of a crossover arguing the characters of the HW franchise needed time to develop. So I don’t think they intend a cross over.

Plus us all the backlash on too many characters mean I can’t see them putting entire HW2 cast on top of Halo 5 cast.

So then what you are saying is that Halo Wars 2 has no meaning then, and its just a waste of time for a game. That doesn’t even connect to the main line. That’s a load of a bull crap. >:(

That would make for an excellent fight/cut scene in halo 6, although it is unlikely to happen that soon. I can see that happening after the cortana storyline though. It will also give more time to devolop the characters in halo wars 2 and halo 5 before a crossover.

Well that’ll be cool indeed. I also have found a pretty cool video of Arbiter vs Atriox Mega Blocks Stop Motion, and i thought that will be really cool if it’s almost the real thing for Halo 6. Here’s the Link: Arbiter VS. Atriox

Well HW2 mattered in that we meet Atriox and the Banished. We also got to see the return of the Spirit and how Cortana gets 4C.

But it’s kind of irrelevant to the wider galaxy. Atriox isn’t doing anything to directly threaten the wider galaxy. The Spirits goal was to alert the UNSC to the Banished presence; they failed to do that.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t have a grounded boots on the ground story and expect it to also have the grand galaxy shattering implications that Halo 5 space opera tale did. So they went out to tell a smaller scale story with HW2 with much smaller stakes than Halo 5; where the galaxy is conquered by an AI.

Irrelevant.

I just wish that there was a dislike button right now. Not going to report you although. Just wish that Waypoint can not just have a button with a heart on it as a like, but also have a heart split in half as a dislike.

Well how does Halo Wars 2 connect the main story? How do its events change the setting? What was at stake during the fight? If you think it does, fair enough; but I don’t see it myself.

Well, you saw the ending right and that is what you said right? How Anders went into the Portal with Installation 04 C, and how a Guardian Stumbles upon there. So Anders could be Cortana’s Prisoner, or Anders could actually be working with Cortana (Which I hope not, i mean i dont think that is a bad idea to the story… but of course, Plot Twist).

The Spirit of Fire (meaning that Captain Cutter and Isabel) could also open up the Portal if they get the Chance to. However, they plan not to do that yet since Atriox and his forces could have a chance to get through the portal as well. Although, what i think about it is that instead of the Spirit of Fire successfully opening the portal by themselves, Atriox has opened up the portal again, and sending his forces to god knows where.

-OR-

The UNSC Infinity could head back to Sangheilios, with Chief of Course to be on a Mission to head back to Earth, and with the UNSC Infinity to possibly destroy one of the Guardians which is of course on Earth. Opening up the Portal from Earth to the Ark once again (I would love to see that, since Halo 3). Where they can get into contact with the Spirit of Fire. Then of Course the Banished comes an sets a trap.

So all in all, i am 95% sure that the Halo Wars 2 Characters as well as a few other old characters, from the Books, Comics, Games, Movies, Etc. (Ex. Lord Hood, Jun, Rtas Vadum, and maybe even Tul and Stolt from the Shadow of Intent), and also the Halo 5 Guardians Characters to be in Halo 6.

Finally, i just hope that you don’t take it too seriously, just and idea or theory that i came up with. Just hoping that it wouldn’t take any offense to you. Thanks!

It is possible very possible that Anders would be working with Cortana in halo 6, she doesn’t know anything that has been going on in the universe lately and therefore would have no idea that Cortana is actually evil (unless cortana reveals everything to her which is unlikely). Also i was thinking how cool it would be if the Infinity ended up jumping to the halo ring and the created boarded and heavily damaged forcing lasky to take it the ground on the ring pillar of autumn style.
