343 took out all the good armor from Halo 3 and Reach, and replaced them with power ranger and robot helmets.

If there’s one full armor that actually stands out. In other words the Spartan’s appearance in Halo 4, its the Recon, along with a few others i mentioned on my first post on the first page. However, when you mentioned Ranger, definitely without a doubt. There are some armors that are weird. Especially that Ranger helmet. Reminds me of Optimus Prime.

Lol when I said power ranger, I didnt mean the ranger helmet. I meant like…never mind lol 
But yeah. Theres barely any helmet that would make me think of Halo. They even ruined the EVA armor which was one of my favorites.

Lol. I’m not a fan of the EVA, but the best EVA helmet that i’ve seen was the one from Halo 3. This one from 4, it looks like an “Egghead”, like Palmer says.
CQB was a classic and I miss it among others…
The only “classic” helmets in H4 are:
- Recon
- Scout
- Hazop (but it’s nothing like the original)
- EOD
- Gugnir
- Air Assault
- EVA
I think they should have carried many more forward… oh well.

I want to hug you for that one…jk. But yes, Recon, along with CQB, Scout, and EVA, definitely. For the others, i really can’t say.
They messed up on the Gungnir helmet and armor pieces.

I didn’t really care for any of the helmets in Halo 3, although the classic MarkV is decent. I think my fave was the ODST and that’s not even real spartan armour. In H3 I used the Commando elite helmet, and even now I have something very similar in the Gungnir helmet.
The CQB helmet has been my go to lid for years. 343, WHERE’S MY CQB LID??? It’s disappointing that so many previous items have been omitted (I particularly don’t like the colour schemes for the ID banner being forced on us). A previous Halo (I forget which) gave players of previous iterations got in game cosmetic rewards for the new version depending on which earlier games you had played and achievements \ difficulty attained. I thought this was a brilliant way to reward loyal players.
i never chose to wear this helmet, but i always loved how it looked. it’s definitely a core halo helmet
