Sure, with the addition of specializations you can gain a little bit of extra power, but quit complaining as if you’re getting a juggernaut suit or an AC130. The specializations are subtle so stop blowing the whole thing out of proportion.
The actual competitive community is filled with some pretty cool guys: Bravo, Elamite, Neighbor, Kampy, etc. It’s the people who claim to be competitive that bug me.

So wait you are saying that the campaign fans are casual?
The funny thing is 343 thinks that adding all of this casual bs will make more people buy Halo and get all of the COD players to play Halo. Well the thing is COD players don’t want to go buy another game when they have a COD game coming out every year why would they switch over to halo. Most COD players are very casual gamers who really only know about COD now and there will be know way of them knowing about how Halo has changed.

I can’t wait to start 5 shotting kids with my BR. Just like in Halo 2 days!
> I doubt specialization armor mods will be available in the MLG playlists, so there should be no reason to complain
That is if they give you the ability to turn them off right?
I would have to agree that everything that has been released is for the casual gamer. Nothing so far impresses the competative gamer at all. Getting the BR back doesn’t really make much of a difference since the DMR is just as effective without bloom. I think the competative community is just frustrated. We still love Halo

The decision about turning them on/off will be left to MLG, these armor mods are managed via loadout and you can set restrictions on that by gametype and playlist.
As far as the competitive community being frustrated with announcements not specifically tailored to them? I would say that is untrue, most competitive players I speak with are excited about Halo 4, especially those who have played it at E3, and RTX, and so on.

Just because some competitive players like the game does not mean any competitive information has been released.

Casual is definitely the wrong word. I am not MLG but i am not bad either. I am a hardcore player and have been since Halo CE. I think that making the game more accessible to the regular audience is a good thing. Why does everything in Halo have to be dictated by the rank 50’s and MLG and pros and all that crap.

This thread is not helping
And calling all competitive players out is also a little silly

How can you honestly assume that 343i is trying to lure CoD fans to Halo? Do people really have to take this -Yoink- so seriously?

… you don’t have to be an MLG pro to be a part of the competitive community.
They’re just voicing their concerns, just the same as if something was announced that seemed to directly affect the casual community.
