The Community Map Playlist is a welcome addition but

… why not add a few of them into the regular map rotation for 4 v 4 games??
Infinite’s multiplayer has been out now for well over a year and desperately needs a steady stream of new content, I don’t see how the limited, often repetitive, rotation of 10 slayer maps and 4 big team maps is helping grow the game’s player base.
Infinite’s finally done something a lot of us have been waiting for since Halo Reach, a dedicated forge playlist. I don’t see any reason for that not to become standard while ALSO, routinely adding the best of those into the overall rotation of maps.
At this point, you might as well overwhelm us with content, especially considering you have a community of players helping create it.

Once they have been play tested enough I’m sure they will be.

People will “tolerate” problems in the community playlist - but not the formal ones.

The community votes that only 1 out of the 3 of those maps are good. 343i only allowed these because they were fair enough I believe.

They can’t just drop any map on the official playlist just because it looks good. Besides, you have custom browser for that.

Some of them will make it in eventually I’m sure. Keeping the forge maps separate will only split the player base. SWAT, fiesta, and Attrition don’t seem to be supported on the forge maps yet. So if you wanna play those modes, you have to spin the wheel in quickplay and play on standard dev maps.

Salvation and Perilous are developer worthy additions, zero difference in quality from developer made maps. The other two are fantastic maps as well, just not on that level.

Because forge maps seem super broken with half the map sometimes not loading in and people falling to their deaths at spawn causing them to get kicked for self-destruction.

I really like the damnation remake. I could honestly see that coming to regular playlists.

yeah I smiled when it loaded up… but that’s exactly what I’m getting at, that map could immediately be dropped into regular rotation, as well as probably a few others.
I honestly don’t have the first idea, but how long does it really take to playtest a small, 4v4 map?
Couple days at best?
Get to it man!!!

I mean the map ran really smooth for me. Weapon placement was perfect and all the abilities chosen to be put on the map weren’t overpowered. So I don’t know what the holdup is. Also I did also want to point out the attention to detail. Not only in the one overhang is there a locked door that would lead you to the exit but the ring holo-gram is actually intractable and can be turn on and off.

They spent so much time on those extra details and it feels amazing.

Eh…

Personally I’ve really disliked all the community forge maps in that playlist thus far…

I like all of them. Absolution & Salvation are my favorites, of course the latter is a throwback.

Agreed, a separate Playlist is precisely the place it needs to go

A map takes on average several months to develop and playtest.

Look, it really is not as easy as you think it is.
