The community changed alot

Nobody talks to each other anymore on halo, custom game invites are gone, the community is dying in general its saddening. I grew up playing halo and its hard to see that theres more people hating halo then actually supporting it. We all need to come together and make this community better

Sometime things change but I love Halo sure there are flaws a lot of flaws but nothing is perfect, as for the community it is easier to hate than love. It will take some time for the community to change for the better so just support everything Halo and we will be fine.

Yea it doesn’t has to be a big community but a good one.

The community has barely changed at all. party chat and private chat changed Halo ages ago, back with 3. And the forum community has been randomly indecisive since the Bungie.net days.

In Halo 3 and Reach, lots of people used their mics. Now, the norm is silence. No one wants to communicate. It turns a team based game into a free-for-all with half the players wearing the same color as the others.

Times change. Its more to do with gaming in general rather than Halo itself. Back then adults just got games to pass their spare time but now every annoying kid and teen has an Xbox. And they expect games to be perfect enough to consume their entire life.

Summed it up. I’ve never been much of a talker on Xbox (Although I’ve only had an Xbox since 2012) but I would put on my mic every once in awhile if I wasn’t blasted by babies crying or kids yelling at their mom “but mom, I’m in the middle of a game” because they forgot to turn off their Kinect. Also when you put on your mic your letting all those Try-hards know that you are there, and if you suck they can trash you to death. I wish I was here back in the prime days of CE and 2 when you could always play with mature people instead of these immature younglings or over-reactive tryhards.

Mostly nobody chats on the game chat because there’s a lot of toxic people out there. And also, almost nobody agrees in accepting an invite to custom games because those only are about game modes that only the host knows.

But as long as this site exists, we can know more people and then we can meet on the game.

I never mic up in any games. Most of time tv muted. I play alot of cod. Omg halo is so much better policing the over the top people. And in general halo isn’t nearly as bad as most games out there.
I play alot of cod… kids cussing.adults cussing. Rasist ethug stuff all day long. So many also have a loud music or just straight noise.

Every online game has the team killers.trash talkers.cheaters etc. But halo as a whole is a much better then all other fps. Chat wise

I see all these complaints about voice chat, but I don’t really see that. Nobody’s tried trash talking me. I admit, screaming robotic 5 year old are pretty common though. The Halo community gets better with age, I think. The older a Halo game is the more social it’s players are.

It’s the gaming community as a whole, the problem is people like me who are now 30 do not blend well with the younger demographic, so it is rare that I meet people I would prefer playing with for long periods of time. On the other hand I’ve noticed most people talk in party chat which is why lobbies are so quiet.

Do not underestimate the power of the dark side!

Just remember, People who like the game play it strongly, people who are haters play the forums loudly… What I am saying is that most if not all forums are places in which all of the trolls and haters of the world meet and complain. The halo community is not dying, the only thing that is changing is the ease at which people can complain… It took me a while to learn that, but now that I do I feel faith for this community and can understand that it is not dying at all…

Ever since halo 3 it has changed but reach was good as well

I haven’t ever been able to chat to even my friends in halo 5 since release… The chat feature is broke so I just party up with my friends and that’s just how h5 is… A broken turd that starts you with ars instead of skill weapons like dmr or br … Sad really.

not to mention the only 5-6 maps that exist… Smh. The players in this game paid for half a game and we are being starved…

Lol here I am half a year later and I now realize that there aren’t many trolls, but rather dedicated fans that complain because they care. Halo would be a completely different, and bad, franchise most likely by now if it wasn’t for this constructive criticism!
