I’ve been venturing around these forums and always: CoD vs. Halo. Both CoD and Halo are my favorite game franchises, but I still like Halo better. Obviously, CoD’s storyline isn’t all that great, but it’s multiplayer makes up for it. Why do so many Halo fans have such a strong hatred for another game?
We’d rather have those players in the Halo hoppers.
There is no “CoD/Halo War”, only stupidity.
I don’t know, I’m a fan of both games.
Its not hatred for the game usually, its hatred for all the “Cod-ifying” of the FPS genre You can see some of that reflected in H4. CoD just has so many aspects to hate about it from the Publisher, to the lack of innovation in the series, to some of the ridiculous things they put in their game that dont exactly scream fairness and balance.
Halo is hated as well for things like regen health and popularizing FPS on console and I can even see some of it as legimate now that im not a “fanboy” anymore.

This is the point, I played both games and both have their advantages and disadvantages. CoD is a bit more realistic with the aim-down-sights stuff and some parts of its graphics, also an advantage that it’s available for computer and not only console. but, but its customization options are poor, just like the stories and the characters. Halo has a nice, interesting and wide storyline and huge customization possibilities (the armor customization, cutom game settings and last but not least the Forge). Its graphics look a bit artifical I think, but besides its advantages it is insignificant. The only big disadvantage of the Halo series is that it’s not available for computer, so people those who can’t afford a computer and a console paralel can’t play Halo.
So the conclusion I drawn is that both games are great in some ways, and fighting for the nonexistent “superiority” of one or the other of these games is one of the biggest stupidities I can imagine…
