What is the chief actually doing after the events of Halo 4. I mean I would of thought that he had joined up with the Spartan iv program. But seeing how spartan ops takes place 6 months after halo 4, with no sign of the chief on infinity, where is he?
Unless Halo 5 takes place immediately after Halo 4, and he has already gone back to the lesser ark (presumably).
Also aren’t blue team at earth after Halo 4?

I was just curious about blue team, since I would like to see them in the games. Also seeing as how Chief needs a new companion, Blue team could suffice.

Most likely, he’s going to be held at an ONI facility. He had
1-Encountered a new alien threat that almost had the ability to wipe out Earth easily.
2-Had been augmented further to survive the Composer’s attack on that space station, being the only survivor.
3-Has been hearing the Didact’s voice, while others are going, “What are you talking about?”
…and so on.
He’s not going to be given a break anytime soon. If anything, he may be dealing with what the Chief feared what he believed Avery Johnson would go through if he included in his report how he managed to survive the Flood outbreak on the first Halo while not being infected.

I like this theory much more than the rogue one. Also I could see ONI doing experiments on him to see what the Librarian had done to him.
Man if chief adopts the spartan 4 armor I’m going to cringe
don’t need him looking like a power ranger i would want him to have an updated version of his mark 6
(yes he wears the same mark 6 from halo 2 and 3 in halo 4 it looks different since 343 wanted to refresh his image and the redesign really helps portray how big he is compared to other humans)
I’d be shocked to see our hero be an ONI lab rat.
In all honesty i want chief to be reunited with blue team.
Before he had cortana, he had blue team and now since cortana is gone he can go

see him dubbed a spartan 4 or wearing spartan 4 type armor he should have a new suit built to his height and build as he is much bigger than the tiny spartan 4’s lol

The armor change was mostly explained in the Halo 4 essential visual guide that 343 released. Turns out the Mk VI has nanobots in it and Cortana used them to change his armor to look like a variant of Mk IV. Not much of an explanation but that’s what 343 gave us.
There really needs to be an in game explanation of what happened to his armor because there are so many people that don’t know about it. 343 really took the word “essential” to literally in this regard. You have to have read the book or at least have someone who owns the book explain it to you in order to understand what happened.

Helped in making animations more realistic and that it’s shape was more true to the human body.
Makes sense since many prop makers on the 405th had to alter the proportions of the mark 6 armor to be able to move comfortably in their replica costumes
So the redesign was purely for art/aesthetic purposes
In my opinion they could have made a more high poly and detailed version of the halo 3 mark 6 model
S they would have a new refreshed look paying homage to the classic look and not confusing some people
But I still love the halo 4 model it’s phenomenal

I don’t think that’s information that has been given out to the public yet, but hopefully halo xbox one will give us a good explanation. My best guess would be that he gave a full report on what happened to him while he was missing and the actions in halo 4, and then after that, I wouldn’t have a clue, there a so many possibilities that 343i could create for John

It would be except that the original Mk VI exists in Halo 4’s armory so if it were an artistic change that armor wouldn’t look like that, it would look like Chief’s in Halo 4’s campaign.

ONI probably wants to cut them up to see what mods he received.
If Halsey does not know about the Chief 6 months after Requiem, I doubt that society in general knows about his further exploits.
