I’ve been stuck on a challenge all week, it’s not difficult. I just have to capture 10 zones.
The problem is is that I have ran out of challenge swaps, and I haven’t played a single game with zones in.
Over 100 matches this week, not a single zone. Oddball, Oddball Oddball.
I used to love oddball. Now I hate it.

Here is my feedback, and it could all be done in five minutes.

  • Give us unlimited challenge swaps, I know the entire game is designed around making them needed to get anywhere. But this isn’t fun.

  • Split the game modes into playlists. Come on it’s not difficult, why is there not a match composer like in MCC? To make us buy challenge swaps? Probably.

  • All non-battle pass items should be FREE. Get the store prices GONE. We’re buying your full price campaign, we’re buying your battle pass. Give us the rest for free.

  • Give us 200xp per match.

I love the gameplay so much, got 50 hours in. But i’m playing less and less each night because I just find myself frustrated being forced to play game modes that I don’t want to play. The game is punishing me for… the sake of punishing me.

You know that the real problem is not challenge swaps. It’s 343i rigging the RNG by design in order to make you less likely to get the game mode you need in order to clear a challenge.

If you swap your challenge to “kill the ball carrier”, suddenly all you’ll get is strongholds for hours on end until you forget what playing oddball feels like.

They won’t fix that issue because it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. It’s a design choice to keep you enraged. Sorry, I mean engaged :joy:

Let me give you guys an analogy, having Challenge Swaps in Infinite is the EXACT same as just moving to another slot machine in the casino.

343 has designed, not just the multiplayer at large, but the RNG of Challenges in their favor… the same way a casino designs all of their game machines to rob 75% of their customers money.

It should be a crime that 343 gives out so many of these Swaps during the Battle Pass, it’s like they knew this crap was going to be tedious and boring… which only adds to the fury of Halo fans.
