The Whispering Truth is also a legendary mythic weapon but is a two shot capable weapon with a silenced muzzle. It also gives you a speed powerup once equiping the weapon. It has the same 2x zoom as the CE Pistol but grants you more vision of the side areas… as the CE pistol gives those side views being black and blurry. The whispering truth also has an easier reticle to aim with.
Really that the CE Pistol is not really that good. Maybe if they num down the REQ level to be different from the Whispering Truth then it will be more worth to use. As of right now, the Whispering Truth is better than the CE Pistol.

Insert rant: For Christ sakes man! If you always compare one thing to another and say one is better and therefore that makes the rest of the sandbox useless then wtf? Whiplash is better than most power weapons, The Answer is greater than most power weapons, the Ghost Ultra is greater than many vehicles, rockets and snipers are better than several power weapons. AND all of those can be better than the HCE pistol. But so what? I wanted this gun and so did many others for nostalgia purposes. Given other combat situations a default magnum can beat the HCE pistol. Yet just because another pistol variant can be seen as better then that automatically justifies for the HCE magnum to be useless.

Its two if all the bullets hit on each burst so basically if you can perfect kill with a br you can perfect kill with the whispered truth in 1/2 the time.

I have gotten the pistol and played it in-game… Back in Combat Evolved. And as 343i said on some episode in The Sprint, the CE pistol will be exactly the same. Animation, design, damage, reticle, melee, scope… All the same. And so, I compard it with the other mythic pistol weapon. And so far, O have tried both weapons and the Whispering Truth is so far better.

Pretty good fire rate, i think about 4 shots per second. So in 3 seconds you could get 4 perfects. Whispered Truth on the other hand is about 3 shots per second, because of burst lag. So, in 2 seconds you can only get 1 perfect.
About the darkened scope OP, it’s like that for the Halo 2 BR and the Classic BR’s, yet you don’t complain. In fact, the darkened scope is better than the standard BR/Magnum scopes. And it isn’t blurry. More awareness, plus no gun sprite covering some of your view.
Whispered Truth is a good alternative to the CE Magnum when looking for the CE Magnum, as it is Ultra Rare Mythic, and the CE Magnum is Legendary Mythic. But the CE Magnum is by far the better of the two.

I say the same thing about the Br but I didnt complain because it would be off subject. And yes, I forgot about the fire rate but I assume it would be the same. And if it is, it can kill two at a time. The whisper truth will be killing two at the ame rate.
So as kill time is the same thing, it still does not take the fact that the Whispering Truth is given a speed powerup and a silencer as the CE Magnum is not having either.

Whispered Truth fires 3 bullets per trigger press.
It takes six to kill.
With that many bullets, you can kill 2 with the CE Magnum in about 1.4 seconds.
Speed Boost is actually the blowing kill to this. You are moving so fast the silencer doesn’t even work. You will still appear on the radar. And silencer is useless unless you stand still the entire time.
If you want the Whispered Truth to truly outclass the CE Pistol, you need the Advanced Sensors armor upgrade. Then the Whispered Truth is a godsend.

Well, then the only way the Whispering truth wins is with the speed boost then if you just add the advance sensor. And yes, you can impliment the same thing with the CE Pistol but it will cost REQs… as the Whsipering truth has it default.
Its better performance wise but i think that the only reason they put it in the game is because they are doing a sort of throwback which is good for those old fashion Halo players. But if you don’t want it than you don’t want it, I don’t blame you but I do think that it was a good idea it looks great and it takes less to kill an opponent basically applying the term power weapon to the name.
