State of D2? What do you mean? It’s still has a solid player base. A new dungeon just came out. A new expansion is coming out within a month or so.
It’s the only looter shooter that has survived.
It’s thriving still.
I guess you haven’t seen their transmog system then. You want whatever appearance you wish, sure just fork over money if you wish to have more than 10 options with a grind every 4 months.

Opening scene shows Covenant fighting a whole lot of thin air while the Spartans are supposed to be air dropped behind enemy lines.
They air dropped in the middle of the battlefield
Does that look like behind enemy lines to you?

Chief : Focus fire.
Everyone starts blasting different targets

Also, there are so many of this really dumb thing where characters are supposed to have a dialouge but one of them just has a brainfart halfway and they stare into the distance THEN IT FADES TO BLACK.
You call that good story telling? That’s garbage storytelling, storyboarding.
And don’t even get me started on the plot.
Swords of Sanghelios were present in the story because they were supposedly fighting Jul’s Covenant, BUT YOU KILL JUL EARLY? Then aren’t they just done then? Arbiter and his Swords just lost all purpose of being in Halo 5 other than to probably play clean up after assassinating Jul.
In actual fact, this is exactly the case, cos most of the enemies you fight past the first missions were mainly Prometheans. What the actual flying heck do you think that is? GOOD STORY TELLING!?
I think I agree a lot with this. IMO I really like the TACMAP and the ability to side quest while doing main campaign…however I WAS REALLY hoping to find out for sure what happens to cortana after five and well I feel like I still don’t know for sure. I mean she’s dead right…right? I thought the whispers were cool but why the change of heart at the end when she was so rogue in 5. I also didn’t like the final cutscene with Atriox. I was real annoyed actually and just seemed like another typical “video game way” of leaving the story open ended. When cortana first started going “bad” I was preparing for the worst lol and was coming to grips with her being killed off and was mentally preparing also haha. Now I’m jus annoyed about it because I didn’t get closure.
Ok enough about cortana. I feel the story line was choppy and I also agree with the whole …”where was everybody else” sentiment. Honestly I feel the way I knew I would when it was announced or whatever that infinite would be a new direction/story arc and I’m just sad about it. Maybe there’s is a good plan for the story line, maybe they have it under control. I hope so, halo is big nostalgia for me

This is an unfair criticism. The people that criticise this are fine with Brutes having Jetpacks and Elites having invisibility.
Why can’t the player have it to. It’s immersion breaking and unrealistic, why cants Chief just steal a Brute jetpack.
This criticism is why we are stuck with a poor man’s jetpack, the Thruster since Halo 4.
Just don’t have armour abilities or equipment spawn on the player in ranked multiplier, there was never an issue with these features in campaign or Big Team Battle.
