The campaign better have expansions

Isnt the entire Halo Lore based on Novels? Not a lot of story is explained during games unless you pay attention all the time to dialogue, cutscenes and environmental story-telling. Halo 1 launches with no explanation at all, you’re some badass green dude fighting scary blue dudes. As the game goes on you learn a little bit more, by the end you have a slight idea of how the universe works. Then you read books like Contact Harvest and Fall of Reach and get a near perfect idea of how it works. The more books you read, the better you can enjoy the games. Your lack of devotion ruins the game for you.

Better than halo 5 where you had to watch a series, read numerous comics, listen to a podcast, read at least 8 full novels, play spartan ops from halo 4, and play several other games in the series to understand the characters and a majority of the plot elements.

SPOILER

If anything they explained, was just how Cortana lost the fight, Halo ring was destroyed, and stuff.

It didn’t explain what happened to all the characters of Halo 5 or even Halo Wars 2. Like was this during or after or before Halo wars 2?

How she lost the fight doesn’t even make sense. How’d she get from being in the super internet to being tied to a ring. What happened to all the other ai in the domain?

Then again the created were set up to be dar too powerful. I don’t think they’d be able to resolve them properly.

After seeing how they monetized the f2p aspect of Halo Infinite I highly doubt campaign expansions will be free. Maybe they’ll give everyone that’s a Gamepass Ultimate subscriber free access to them, but I seriously doubt that they’ll be flat out free for everyone in general.

Don’t forget forge monetization is probably coming too. I’m expecting it at this point to have some sort of forge object bundle to sell.

I’d have to disagree completely there. If you consider how 5 ended, and that the main enemy of Infinite is a pull from the "Wars’ series and other expanded U stories, what Infinite does explain yaddah-yaddah’s over a bunch of details.

I’ve yet to listen to all the audio logs, and hopefully there is explanation there, but I doubt those short clips are gonna fill in all the gaps. It doesn’t render the game unplayable by any stretch, but this has been a consistent shortfall by 343i where the campaign direction has been concerned.
