Anyone remember a time when we could play our downloadable content? Anyone remember the time when we had specific playlists for each DLC pack? I do. Soon after the Defiant Map pack was released the playlists were completely scrapped, leaving us with only one playlist - Squad DLC which required BOTH map packs to play.
“But what if you had only one of them?”
That was the dilemma with Squad DLC. However 343i have taken it to the next level, meaning it is almost impossible to play our downloadable content maps without making our own custom game lobbies. What if we didn’t have a good amount of players to fill those lobbies up? That was just tough luck wasn’t it?
Now the August update has removed our hopes on playing DLC that we spent our HARD EARNED CASH ON! It’s absolutely ridiculous! Why would you do such a thing? What if Tempest was your favourite map? What if you enjoyed slaying the covenant on Unearthed? What if you wanted to fight above orbital station gamma in Condemned?
Well now we can’t…
So please, there has to be a way of 343 Industries to get our message. We have to make ourselves known. If you’re a massive fan of the DLC that we paid for then spread the word. Reply to this topic. Share your views.
343 can kiss my … They ruined reach multiplayer… They’d better bring it back, and not all in a single playlist, now it’s impossible to play invasion on breakpoint and bts on headlong… WTF
Less than 40 people are playing Anniv. Firefight right now. However you can actually play that in Score Attack and just setting up a game with friends. Only takes four people.
DLC never left. It just doesn’t have it own playlist anymore. And adding even more playlists to compensate for people who own at least one, bu not all 3 of the map packs would be counter productive. They are trying to reduce the number of playlists…you can’t do that by adding more.

Perhaps it could. However the game is for fun and if you take away our fun, we’re not going to play the game. It’s not our fault we can;t get DLC that we paid for in MM is it now?

But you CAN get the maps in MM. The maps are still in the hoppers. Play with a full team and you’ll increase your chances of running into DLC. I played with 4 people the other day and had DLC options in every game that came up.

I know that. I play with full parties that have all DLC all the time but the enemy team NEVER has the maps. It sucks.

Well I usually don’t play with a full team, so what? That doesn’t come in terms and regulations when buying the map pack… MOST PEOPLE DON?T PLAY IN FULL PARTIES, JESUS!
I have an idea. What if somebody made an Xbox Live account called “Halo DLC” or something similar and people that are hardcore fans of DLC could add it and invite people from the list for custom games? It would solve part of the problem at least ^-^

(I’m being completely serious. That should please a good number of the people that are upset about the loss of Squad DLC. If you find enough, you can party up and go into BTB.)

If Squad DLC was really so much fun that you couldn’t stand the thought of it being taken away then I’m pretty sure you would have played more than 13 games in the playlist…

My point still applies. It doesn’t entitle the community to a DLC only playlist. Hell, we had one multiple times and nowhere near enough people played it to make it worth keeping.

This is for the community’s benefit, not my own. I always hated full bloom and only played the playlist with full parties so we didn’t get dumb gametypes every time.

But how much does it really benefit the community. SDLC struggled to keep 250 people at peak times. ABTB had the best population of any of the playlists that were removed, but people don’t seem to be specifically complaining about that playlist.
The only playlist I can see people being legitimately upset about being removed is action sack because it had its own style, but somehow the DLC playlists that nobody even played are all anyone wants to complain about.
I still dont understand why they dont just do what bungie did for halo 3 and make certain playlists to be All DLC Required. Its only 30 dollars for all the maps. Its such a simple solution that they seem to be overlooking.
