Is it me or is the BR a little too overpowered in halo 5 only takes a few shots to kill someone but in the other halo games it took nearly a full mag also loving the game so far.
4 shot headshot kill in every halo.

There are a million BR variants in warzone, but each and every one of them is still four shots to kill. If somebody killed you with two bursts then he got assisted or threw a grenade or there was something else going on that you didn’t realize.
Oh, and it’s always been a four shot weapon since Halo 2.

but yes it has always been a 4-shot weapon.
Same amount of shots but faster rate of fire. Also the increased range and high bullet magnetism make the BR pretty much the only choice if you want to be competitive.

In past games, and in 5 im pretty sure, if it took nearly a full mag, then all 3 bullets from the shot didnt hit. Its 4 perfect shots with all bullets hitting.

It’s always been a 4 shot kill gun. It’s the same in this game.
The reason it feels so OP is bc almost every single precision weapon in this game has huge amount of bullet mag. Your reticle can be slightly off someone and the game will literally curve bullets towards them.
The BR and sniper are the most obvious offenders in this game.
The amount of ignorance in this thread is embarrassing. The BR is a 4 shot kill at minimum and except for a brief time in H4 this has always been true. If you’re taking half a magazine to kill then your aim is atrocious.

I think it fires a bit faster in H5 though?
This has already been said, but it’s always been a 4 shot kill, so long as each bullet connects.
And yes, magnetism is MUCH higher, so it will feel a lot more efficient and deadly. You can shoot right by the head of a moving opponent and it’ll still connect.

not necessarily. there are 36 bullets in a magazine for the BR. With 3 round bursts that mean you use 1/3 of your mag with a perfect kill. 6 shots and youve used half of your magazine. I can say there are lots of times i don’t get a perfect kill, and its not common i see anyone else having most of their kills being perfect kills, or anywhere near it for that matter. Id say on average people kill others in around 5 shots, which is ALMOST half your magazine. Just to clarify, people are just exaggerating when they say “it takes about half a magazine to kill someone in other halos”. most of the time it did for the normal casual player.
The thing i notice the most about the BR (or any precision weapon) being OP is that it renders most vehicles practically useless. The warthog is a death trap for any gunner, unless its perhaps a Gauss hog will a skilled driver and gunner (not to mention good cover fire all around). I used to love running around halo maps with a warthog, a friend in the gunner. Now it is something i avoid, mostly because the BR is so accurate at a distance that it is hard to not get picked off in 5 seconds haha.
BR has always been a 4 shot kill. Only difference is - quicker rate of fire, gre ater range and not having to lead the shot. But on previous halo games the BR could take 6+ to kill someone as crappy servers/host would allow people to sponge shots while 1 shot (stil happens in MCC)
