The bosses give too many points in warzone

IMO the bosses give too many points away, and the controlling of the bases should give more points.

On one of the maps, the knight located in the fortress gives the team who kills him 150 pts… that’s close to how much Warden Eternal gives you.

I think more emphasis should be put on controlling the bases, and attacking the core. I’ve never had a Warzone game end due to the destruction of the enemy core yet, it’s usually decided by who kills Warden Eternal.

Which sucks.

People are just waiting in ghosts ready to kill all of the bosses that come along.

Boring.

I somewhat agree with this, but I think there should be a little more variance in points awarded. Lochagos should be a 75-100 point kill, not 150, as should Wakim & S’roam’s Banshees, Hestro’s Phaeton, and Rok’s Wraith. Only the Warden and other, similarly tough bosses should be worth 150. Knock the others down a few pegs.

That said, Hunters should be 50-75 points each. They are way too much work for 25 points. The Sangheili Generals are worth 25 points and they can be assassinated. Patrol captains are slightly harder for 25 points, and you can’t hijack their ghosts, but that’s a minor PITA.

Just a few small tweaks – I wouldn’t make sweeping changes, but yeah… starting Stormbreak with a 150 point lead is unfair.

Bosses are what makes Warzone tbh, controlling the bases will just be campy and more like other game modes.

I like keeping the Warden at 150 and bringing other Legendary bosses to 100. I agree that some of the 25 point bosses hardy seem worth it to waste that much time for that relatively small amount. Another thing some other threads have proposed is giving points based on damage done. So with the Warden, the first 100 points would be given based on how much damage a player/team did and 50 points for the killing blow.

Agreed, but the point being made is that spawn location and spawn times make some of them a little too “good,” and that the difficulty of bosses X/Y/Z do not necessarily match up to the point values assigned to them.

I love Warzone’s AI element, I just believe it could be altered slightly for the better.

The bases are for controlling the maps and giving you the ability to get to boss spawn locations quicker than the enemy. You aren’t suppose to get points from holding bases, you get points from taking out enemy spartans and AI

WINNER!!!

I agree. But I agree even more that Lochness Monster or whatever the hell his name is shouldn’t be a legendary boss. No other map has a middle ground with a boss which gives that many points, why does Stormbreak?

Found my new nickname for Locagos or however you spell it

Cmdr Lycanthrope is popular in my circles.

I think sraoms banshee should be reduced, I like the rest where they are personally.

150 Spartan kills (Points) to the player who lands the last shot on a boss is way too high. Literally the rest of the game is stalling to go kill NPCs. Points for holding bases, spartan kills worth 2, something has to change. The current system is incredibly frustrating if you actually want to play Halo, not hunt monsters.

The Fortress on Stormbreak does allow the controlling team to spawn vehicles. I don’t think the Garage (ironic) or Spire do that.

Personally, The Warden is the only AI I have felt was worthy of 150 points. He’s legit slow to go down. Seems like Lochagos goes down fairly quickly.

Garage does. I’m sure the spire does too, under the front of it, may be wrong.

But the amount of times I get killed just while leaving these vehicle spawns is ridiculous. Sometimes even before I have control! The spawn screen should allow us to move the camera a little to check the coast is clear before spawning.
