…for those without a team. I’m sure those of you with teams enjoy it now as much as ever, and I understand the allure of making it harder to farm bosses, but I have had more issues with the few games I’ve played since the update to entirely drain the fun from it.
Just saying. I had to vent somewhere.

I’ve been playing solo since the boss refresh. It didn’t make WZ unplayable. We just need another refresh. More variety to the bosses, some spawns moved around goblin/mantis on noctus need a nerf, that kind of thing.

Noctus got -Yoinked!- up with the refresh. Rest of the maps are fine I think minus the Grunt Goblin that spawns in Escape the ark. No one wants to touch him and his needles will fly cross the map and kill you out of random.

I’ve never played with a team, so maybe it’s just me, but at least before everyone knew where the bosses were, so players who wanted to stealthily avoid combat in a gamble for an enemy armory would be guaranteed a distraction that would move players from their bases. Now, in spite of the fact that I love chaos in Halo, I find it a bit too random… wow. I guess I’ll just complain about anything, won’t I? You know what, maybe I just have to relearn the gametype.

Heh, I had that happen once. Seriously, no one went onto the Goblin’s turf. Not worth it, but it did make the game drag on when no one wanted to grab the points.
Sounds like some one is salty because they made it a bit tougher.

I think that goblin needs moved to between the armories so you have to deal with him.
Noctus issues are the mantis bosses are just to bloody powerful. You basically need a at least 5 or 6 people to shut them down. The health should be lowered and the shield respawn should be cut by quite a bit. The bosses spawning in the middle base needs fixed as well. (That is also something that would help Sanctum too.) I’m also not certain why certain bosses got taken out of the rotation like the hunters on noctus or the various named bosses that used to spawn.

They spawn at roughly the same times. I have some issues with the cannon fodder spawning with plasma casters and beam rifles though.
Maybe Escape from Arc due to the stupid Grunt Mech (which I really am growing to hate) who everyone basically ignores for the duration of the game. Spawning in a Banshee? Well, we’ll drop you right over that ignored Grunt Mech and he’ll immediately target and destroy you unless you fly straight into the tunnel, which is where you’ll remain because all he is going to shoot at from here on out is you. Same with hanging out on the roof of the garage. Have fun if the Grunt Mech is still farting around out back…
I really hate that thing, mainly because I can’t mute him. He’s not funny. Just loud and annoying. Which is the point, yes. But god-damn.
Some of the bosses are time consuming to kill which has meant teams changed their focus onto spawn trapping rather than boss kills. I’ve seen fewer games go to 1000 points since the refresh.
It’s definitely changed the game dynamic, to where players are now more focused on Spartan kills. Bosses like the the multi-mantis or grunt mechs take forever to kill, so both teams end up ignoring them. Unfortunately this has made it harder to win on points, and I’ve seen games drag out now to 25+ min. Whereas before it averaged 15-20 (at most). If I wanted to go against a FF boss, I’d go to FF.

I agree. However, the proliferation of low-point bosses that just get splattered by the team that already has the points to whip out Ghost Ultras doesn’t really level the playing field.

Nah, I’m not salty, just disappointed. This is what I had hoped Warzone would be like from the very beginning, but seeing it now, I don’t know how I feel about it.

As you well know, I’ve been where you are, and I’m mostly still there now - don’t even get me started on firefight - but I can say that if my own experience is anything to go by then familiarity, difficult though it can be to achieve, will salve many of your wounds. Though not all. I may have finally come to terms with the way firefight has to be, but that doesn’t mean I’ll ever forget how it used to be or how much better suited it was to someone who plays the way I do. But when Halo hands you lemons then it’s time to get tactical, marine.
