But I think it’ll be pretty balanced. It’ll be one of the most valuble with its 1 shot kill to the body, but the limited clip size help balance it out. I can’t wait to get my hands on it…

that footage is of regicide i believe. which means those enemies could have been previously damaged. especially the first kill, considering that it looked like he was already in a firefight when he was blasted into oblivion. much is really up for debate.
If it is one shot to the body, they’ll have to balance it. But 343 is smart, so i’m sure it will be fine. Give it less zoom. Give it less ammo. Now it’s awesome
I personally think it will have an interesting role in the sandbox. Other games have had 1-hit kill weapons before, that didn’t necessarily make them too unbalanced. There are always ways to counter these kinds of weapons.
For example, Counter-Strike has the AWP Sniper Rifle which is 1-hit to anywhere except legs/arms, and has 10 bullets per magazine, plus the game never allows respawning. It still works itself out somehow.

I thought it was because they were computers, using binary code…
The name has something to do with gameplay?! HERESY
However, there are other things to take into effect. How long does it take to reload? Does it have to charge before shooting? does it have the same 2 scope settings as the sniper and beam rifle, only one, or perhaps neither(a longer ranged one) How long is the pause between shots? How much aim assist does it have?
Depending on what the answers to this are, it could be either fairly weak, highly overpowered, or anywhere in-between.

Yeah. They don’t have aim-assist in CS, so only a small percentage of its community can actually use snipers. If they were to reduce or remove aim-assist on the binary rifle, it might level out a bit.

My controller is going to be flying halfway across the room

You obviously don’t understand binary
Binary is a counting system of base two. There exists only 1 and 0, true and false, high and low, on and off, etc. A “Binary Rifle” heavily implies that it is a one shot kill, “hit or miss” = 1 or 0.
