The DLC issue is probably the biggest right now, but that is on Microsoft’s end, and they’re already working on it.
As far as what 343 needs to work on, I think a balance patch is probably of the highest importance, followed closely by work on the matchmaking/host selection process. For the first 2 weeks I played this game I had no lag issues, but they are becoming more and more common.
Biggest problems? Hardly. What about the overpowered bolt shot? Or getting matched versus a team of four when you are searching alone. What about getting dropped into a game down in score three times the score? Or matchmaking starting lobbies three versus one? Those issues are hardly the biggest problems.
Besides the hotfixes that can be made for the Map DLC, Specs, file browser, the others are not very big problems in Halo 4.
The biggest problems are balancing issues, no rank system, aim assist/magnetism.
Balancing:
DMR - The superior primary loadout of choice. Too good of a weapon all around. (Long-medium-close ranges)
BR - Should be a 4 shot kill if all bullets hit or maybe 10-11 bullets hit. This would finally make it worthwhile to use this weapon over the DMR in smaller maps.
Boltshot - No secondary weapon should be one shot kill. It should act as the plasma pistol in regards to damage. Should take out the enemies shields and then you can switch to your primary and finish the kill.
Rank System:
We need a visible in game rank system (1-50). Making two playlists. Rank and Social. I could go on awhile about this but I won’t.
Aim Assist/Magnetism:
The aim assist and magnetism in this game is ridiculous. Anyone can pick up a DMR/BR and get a 5 shot. I remember in Halo 3 to get a 4 shot with the BR took months maybe years of practice to get down. I prided myself by having one of the best BR’s in Halo 3. I was able to 4 shot people consistently because I would spend numerous hours playing FFA customs on guardian with other good players.
